Located 15Km from the Portuguese south coast and just 450m from the Silves Castle, this apartment is prepared to receive families or groups of friends looking for a quiet stay in the sunny Algarve. Well located, about 40 minutes’ drive from Faro’s Airport, and with all the essential amenities, such as free Wi-Fi, cable TV and a fully equipped kitchen, ready for your home-cooked meals, this apartment is certainly the ideal accommodation for you. Enjoy the Portuguese sun, history, and sea breeze!
This beautiful property is prepared to receive groups of friends and families, comes fully equipped to meet all your needs and consists of:
BEDROOMS
- 1 bedroom with a queen-sized bed with large pillows, comfortable quality sheets, and a closet.
- 1 bedroom with 2 single beds, with large pillows, comfortable quality sheets, and a closet.
BEDROOM HALL
- 1 closet and 1 desk
BATHROOM
- A bathroom equipped with a bathtub, a mirror, and toilet.
LIVING AREA
- A living area with a comfortable sofa-bed and cable TV!

Silves (roman Cilpes, Arabic Xelb) is an adorable medieval town situated among citrus groves and vineyards, near the Arade river. Silves had its heyday in Moorish times when it was the capital of the Algarve. During the time of the Moors, between the 9th and the 13th centuries, Silves was a key trading city and today many vestiges of its strategic importance remain. The castle at the top of the hill is a monument to Islamic rule, being the best-preserved castle from the Middle Ages in the Algarve. Great works of Moorish architecture are being unearthed all the time in Silves. The castle has the remains of a palace, while the archaeology museum integrates a medieval cistern into its design. Every year in August, this rich heritage is honoured with a famous medieval fair that has markets, jousting, music, dancing, and historical re-enactments. The historic centre of Silves (Old Town) is compact and can be easily explored on foot on its narrow and cobbled streets that make you believe that time has stopped. Here, you will find the Silves Castle, the ancient City Gates, Silves Cathedral, the Archaeological Museum, Cruz de Portugal, Ponte Velha (Roman Bridge), or the local market. The most beautiful sight of the town is from across the hills, which overlook Silves. Here, you can see the orange trees of the countryside, with the picturesque town in the background. The town is quite different from the touristic resort towns in the Algarve. In a way, this is how the Algarve was before mass tourism. You can still feel this when visiting the town and its medieval atmosphere that takes you back in time. A car-drive away, you will find several sandy beaches (Praia Grande de Pêra, Praia da Rocha, Armação de Pêra, Carvoeiro, etc), Barragem do Arade, Serra de Monchique, and different entertainments and tours such as water parks, boat trips, horseback riding, golf, and of course, Portuguese delicious food or wine tasting!

- Water, electricity, and gas consumption partially included (up to the limits indicated in the contract)
- TV and internet
Guest count:
- The price per night is the same for up to 4 people. After 4 guests, there is an extra guest fee of 20€ per guest per night for up to 2 additional guests (total of 6). Adults and children >2 years are counted equally towards the number of paying guests.
- For reasons of compliance with legal obligations, the maximum number of guests allowed at this property is 6, regardless of age. This includes adults, children and babies. Please do not attempt to book this property for more than 6 people in total.
Late check-in:
Late check-in may be possible after availability check. This incurs an additional cost that must be paid in cash upon arrival:
- Between 9pm and midnight - 20€
- Between midnight and 9am - 30€
Guest identification and permissions:
- For legal reasons, identifying all guests and providing the requested personal information is essential for check-in. The requested information must be provided before your arrival.
- For safety, insurance, and building regulation purposes, only registered guests are allowed to access the property at any time.
- Access is strictly prohibited to any third-party service providers, including but not limited to massage therapists, chefs, beauty technicians, photographers, or similar.
Other rules:
1. Please make yourself at home!
2. Please take care of the house as if it were your own, keeping it clean and tidy.
3. Save water & electricity and help us protect the environment.
4. Be kind to your neighbours and please avoid making noise after 22h as this is a residential building.
5. Smoking is prohibited in the house and the building. It is only allowed outside (on the balcony).
6. Please be safe and protect yourself by not leaning over or sitting on the windowsills, balcony or handrails.
7. All windows must be closed when leaving the apartment or during rainfall. Please also keep the building door closed and the apartment door locked when away from the apartment.
8. Events or gatherings of any kind are not allowed.
9. Pets are not allowed (sorry!).

Our apartment is located in a town in the countryside that is teeming with wildlife. Depending on the time of year and weather conditions, guests may encounter mosquitoes, flies, spiders, ants or other bugs. While we do utilize pest control services whenever necessary, we are unable to offer any guarantees or refunds for occasional bugs that may enter the apartment. We do our best to prevent this from occurring and guests can help by keeping doors and windows closed, disposing of rubbish and storing food in a responsible manner.
