The location of this apartment is fantastic and within easy walking distance of the Eiffel Tower. The bathroom also appears to have been recently renovated and was one of the nicest parts of the stay.Unfortunately, everything else fell short.The apartment seems to be an old storefront converted into a rental. The downstairs had a constant smell of dirty, wet gym socks that never went away. It was also unbearably hot—never below 90F—with no windows that opened for fresh air. Three of the fans were covered in thick dust, so they weren’t exactly helping.The sofa bed had stained sheets with hair on them, which was unacceptable. The washer/dryer combo washed clothes but barely dried them, although the provided drying rack was appreciated.The stairs to the lower level are more like a ladder than actual stairs. I would not recommend this property for older adults, young children, or anyone with mobility issues.Security was another concern. We were given two keys, but only one worked. That meant you either had to lock your family inside with no working key or leave the apartment unlocked if someone went out.We contacted the host immediately. After one initial response, communication completely stopped and none of the issues were addressed.A great location and a nice bathroom couldn’t overcome the smell, heat, cleanliness issues, unusable second key, and lack of host support. We would not stay here again and honestly it ruined the Paris stop on our vacation.
