Acerca de este alojamiento
The Old Barn Marlborough - with games room in Marlborough
From the historic red brick façade, The Old Barn Marlborough stretches before you with spacious open plan living areas. Combining aspects of its 250-year heritage, original sash windows flood the house with light while woodburning stoves provide warmth and a cosy atmosphere.
Rustle up a feast in the expansive kitchen/diner, the hub of the house where you can set the table for ten and host a celebratory meal. At the end of the day the traditional snug in the oldest part of the house is made for slowly sipping after dinner drinks while the fire crackles. Keeping younger guests entertained is a breeze here with table football and a living room waiting for your favourite film or a games tournament on the Wii console. Three modern bathrooms and five generous bedrooms are set across the first floor with the master bedroom sitting at the back of the house beneath an exposed A-frame of beams adorned with sparkling fairy lights, a lovely escape at the end of the day.
Tucked away, the rear garden is a secluded spot. Sitting alongside the black and white exterior you can dine al fresco or make the most of sunny days bringing your book outside to recline beneath the trees. With the delights of Marlborough on your doorstep there is so much to see and do. Take a walk to see the white horse on the hill just outside the town, head to Stonehenge to learn more about this magical ancient site or discover the North Wessex Downs AONB which surrounds Marlborough.

Living Room
Becoming a place for the children to make their own, films can be watched and games can be played. With a day bed this room doubles as an extra bedroom and there is a woodburning stove to keep any evening chills at bay.
Games Room
Hours will be spent playing family football tournaments, a great way to decide who in your group will be left with the washing up after dinner. The decorative fireplace is a charming feature in this room.
Dining Room
Filled with light, this room seats ten at the dining table where toasts will be raised and memories made on special occasions. Turn on the surrounding fairly lights to add a touch of sparkle to your meal.
Kitchen
While the chef prepares dinner, drinks can be served at the breakfast bar which seats three. Plenty of space is available for storing your supplies with a large pantry cupboard and the sleek traditional style sits nicely alongside the feature fireplace and exposed beams above.
Snug
Once the scullery, the snug still features the original old-style washing machine and bread oven. The glass covered well is a talking point and the woodburning stove sits amidst a red brick surround.
Shower Room
Through a sliding wooden door the shower room is a wonderful addition when you're getting ready to go out in the evening.
Utility
Tucked away to the side of the shower room, here you will find laundry facilities with a washing machine and tumble dryer.
