The "Casa Marina di San Francesco" is located in a historic building (1864) in the historic center of Milazzo, overlooking the scenic "Marina Garibaldi" waterfront. All major amenities are within a few meters: a marina with floating docks, restaurants, pizzerias, sandwich shops, bars, tobacco shops, newsstands, pharmacies, supermarkets, and bakeries. The port and the terminal for ships and hydrofoils to and from the Aeolian Islands, as well as the bus station to and from Messina and Catania Airport, are about 600 meters away. The Arab-Norman castle and the historic village—lively with bars and pubs and a vibrant nightlife—are located about 300 meters away. The beaches and beach resorts are extensive, both on the western and eastern sides, and are easily accessible even on foot.
