This cozy holiday home in Hjälmsänga, Småland, is located near the lake Fyllesjön. The house is the perfect starting point to experience the nature of Småland, to go on day trips and enjoy swimming and fishing in the lake.



The holiday home was once an old mission house that was completed during the end of the 19th century. After a complete renovation, the house has today been converted into a home. With cozy furnishings and amenities such as a washing machine, dishwasher and a fireplace in the living room, you have good conditions for a wonderful stay. The owner lives next to the holiday house but the plots are separated with insight protection.



You also have access to a large terrace that is perfect for dinners on hot summer evenings. From the terrace you also have a partial view between the trees over the lake Fyllesjön. The lake offers both fine fishing and bathing possibilities. A canoe is included when you book this accommodation and you can also choose to rent a boat and boat engine for SEK 100 per day. In addition, you can also choose to add final cleaning for a cost of 1500 SEK per stay. There is a robot lawnmower that is activated during 00:00-06:30 weekday and recommend you to store your belongings at the terrace during nights.



Things to see and do in Hjälmsänga and the surounding area

Close to the holiday home there is a chocolate shop that produces its own chocolate produced by a German chocolate master. For bookings and more information about chocolate tasting among other things, you are warmly welcome to contact the house owner directly.



Rydaholm is located 6 km from the holiday home and in the town there is a car and toy museum. Hörda and Lagan are two other places of interest that you have in the area. Here you will find, among other things, a moose park and golf course.



A tip about swimming and adventure is to take a day trip to Ljungby. It features an outdoor pool and an adventure pool. A visit to the Sven Ljungberg Museum and Sago Museum is also recommended. Another destination worth a visit is Värnamo! Here you have a good selection of restaurants, shopping and museums. Among other things, the art museum Vandalorum.

Beautiful house with big garden close to lake

The house is beautifully furnished and very clean. A nice lake, which has a small beach area and is great for children, is only a short walk away. The owners live next door and are extremely friendly and helpful - thanks a lot again, we quickly felt at home! We couldn‘t have wished for more.

Sehr schöne Unterkunft geschmackvoll und schön eingerichtet

Die Küche ist sehr gut ausgestattet, es fehlt an nichts. Das Haus ist toll gelegen und hat einen schönen großen Garten, der direkt an den Wald angrenzt. Es ist wunderbar ruhig und man kann ungestört den ganzen Tag im Garten verbringen. Die Vermieter sind sehr freundlich und nett, die Kommunikation (englisch) hat wunderbar funktioniert. Etwa einen Kilometer entfernt ist der Bade- und Angelplatz am See. Es gibt ein Kanu, welches genutzt werden kann. Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt und eine wunderbare und entspannte Woche dort verbracht. Superb accomodation! Very well equipped, nicely furnitured, super-nice hosts... The absolute only thing that could be improved are the mattresses.

Wunderschöner Urlaub bei netten Vermietern

Giggi der Vermieter ist einfach toll, das Haus ist so gemütlich eingerichtet. Und uns hat es sehr gefallen, wir kommen sicher wieder! Unsere beiden Kinder haben den See sehr geliebt, und die Natur ist wunderschön. Toll wäre noch eine Reibe ) Sonst war alles Bestens!

Das Haus ist sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet und es ist alles vorhanden. Ideal für Ausflüge per Auto oder mit dem Zug. Wir sind von Alvesta per Zug nach Stockholm und Kalma.Der See ist etwa 1 km vom Haus entfernt und dort liegt auch das Boot.

Tolles Ferienhaus inmitten der Natur.

Hier fehlt es an nichts, toll ausgestattetes Ferienhaus. Sollte doch mal etwas fehlen, helfen die super netten Vermieter nebenan weiter. Blumen und frisches Obst zur Begrüßung hatten wir bisher sehr selten. Das Ferienhaus ist toll gelegen, inmitten der Natur. Bis zum See sind es ungefähr 5 Minuten zu Fuß. Die größeren Städte Växjö, Värnamo, Ljungby sind jeweils in 30 Minuten zu erreichen. Zum Einkaufen nach Rydaholm sind es nur 5 Minuten.

Sehr schönes Haus in ruhiger Lage

Insgesamt ein sehr schönes Ferienhaus mit sehr freundlichen Vermietern, die direkt nebenan wohnen. Wenn es ein Problem gab, wurde es umgehend von Giggi und Carolin ( Besitzer) gelöst. Auf der großzügigen Terrasse konnte man mit Blick auf den Wald die fantastische Ruhe genießen. Mit großer Lounge Ecke und Outdoor Tisch blieben keine Wünsche offen. Wir würden das Missionshaus jederzeit wieder mieten und werden sicherlich noch einmal wieder kommen. Vielen Dank an Giggi und Carolin für das herzliche Willkommen, die Hilfsbereitschaft und die netten Gespräche am Abend. Liebe Grüße von Stefanie und Michael, Bella und Tobias mit Emma.

Die Umgebung ist sehr ruhig und entspannend.

Wir haben uns in dem alten Missionshaus sehr wohl gefühlt - die Umgebung ist sehr ruhig und entspannend. Insgesamt ist die Ausstattung des Anwesens mehr als komplett, auch die Einrichtung im Haus und Garten zeugt von viel Geschmack. Ein paar Hinweise an Urlauber mit leichtem Schlaf: Die Betten sind mit 80cm recht schmal und ziemlich weich. Weiters ist im Badezimmer eine Pumpe für Frischwasser installiert, ein sogenanntes Hauswasserwerk - das Laufgeräusch der Pumpe ist deutlich wahrnehmbar. Darüber hinaus empfehlen wir, auch im Sommer warme Kleidung mitzubringen, da das Haus im Wald liegt und die Luft selbst an heißen Tagen rasch und deutlich abkühlt. Die Nachbarn und Hausbesitzer waren sehr freundlich und sehr bemüht, uns den Aufenthalt so angenehm wie möglich zu machen.

Wunderschönes Ferienhaus mit toller Ausstattung und Lage

Es war ein toller Aufenthalt in dem Haus. Es ist toll ausgestattet, insbesondere die Küche und der Grill. Der Garten und die Terrasse sind idyllisch. Der Weg zum See sind weniger als 10 Minuten und es gibt eine herrlich Badestelle und ein Boot mit Paddel. Wir kommen gerne wieder! Alles wunderbar.

Wir hatten eine tolle Woche im ehemaligen Missionhaus

Das alte Haus wurde liebevoll saniert und ist voll ausgestattet. Lediglich die Betten sind für unseren Geschmack etwas weich, aber dafür wird man von der Ruhe und der traumhaften Umgebung entschädigt. Die Vermieter nebenan sind äußerst freundlich, ohne aufdringlich zu sein. Bis zum Badeplatz sind es zehn Minuten zu Fuß durch einen schönen Wald.

Wir hatten tolle drei Wochen in diesem Ferienhaus

Es ist sehr hübsch eingerichtet und mit allem ausgestattet, was man benötigt. Die Schlafzimmer waren recht klein, aber es gab große Schränke zum Verstauen der Sachen. Auf der großen Terasse haben wir gerne gefrühstückt. Es gab einen großen Esstisch und auch noch eine Outdoor Sofaecke. Nur abends gab es hier keine Sonne mehr. Es gab auch einen großen Gasgrill und im Schuppen auch noch einen weiteren Holzkohlegrill. Den See konnte man ein ganz klein wenig durch die Bäume hinter dem Grundstück sehen. Zur kleinen Badestelle braucht man zu Fuß 12 bis 15 Minuten. Dort ist man oft alleine, aber an den heißen Tagen, waren auch mal ein paar andere Leute da. Man kann ganz gut baden, der See ist allerdings sehr flach und an vielen Stellen schlammig. Das Kanu liegt auch hier und wir sind dsmit auch zweimal unterwegs gewesen. Ein Ausflug in den StoreMosse Nationalpark lohnt sich auf jeden Fall. Auch die angebotete Schneeschuhwanderung war super. Auch Växjo ist zu empfehlen. Die Besitzer wohnen nebenan und waren sehr nett und sie haben sich um kleine Probleme schnell gekümmert. Auch ihre drei Katzen waren sehr nett und kamen uns oft besuchen.
