Lovely Property

Lovely house with a great pool. Air Conditioning inside was a must as very hot when we were there. Beds were comfy. Great location for visiting south west area of Sicily.

Beautiful property with a wonderful host

Our family recently enjoyed a wonderful stay at this property on our first visit to the beautiful island of Sicily. The house was clean and comfortable for our family of 6. The patio area with dining table, garden and hammock were a delight for breakfast and evening meals. The pool is fantastic, which is both clean and safe for my 2 year old nephew to play in. Our host, Andrea, was fantastic. He was there to meet us upon arrival and regularly checked in to make sure we were comfortable and enjoying our stay. His attentiveness made us feel welcome in his home and well taken care of. The town itself was a little quite the time of year we stayed so i would highly recommend a car for anyone visiting. Andrea was kind enough to recommend a hire car company close by that was very good. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend to anyone considering staying. Thank you, Andrea!

Disappointing stay, fraught with problems.

Upon arrival, we were shown around the villa, only to find that the complex is shared with the owner's mother's own accommodation. This is not in the online description of the property. Having 5 young children staying with us, we were always worried about how the level of noise disturbing her. During our stay, the local sewer burst, sending raw sewage flowing down the adjacent street. Three nights of noisy excavations ensued and the whole neighbourhood smelled really disgusting. We were concerned about the quality of our water during the excavations as it was yellow in colour. Every time we used the dish washer, if flooded the floor in the kitchen. The owner sent for a plumber who somehow made the problem worse, meaning that we couldn't use the kitchen sink or dishwasher at all. When we complained, the owner became angry and blamed it on us blocking it with food waste which was an impossibility as the pipes were leaking well below the location of the sink. He also asked us to leave the property open when we needed to go out, risking our own valuables. The owner raised his voice in front of our children when we left, again making us out to be the problem. To make things so much worse, the owner took 200 Euros from our deposit saying that we caused the damage to the property despite us having photos to prove that it was not our fault and that they were problems that he should have rectified with his own funds. We are still waiting for a refund from Vrbo/owner.

Dear Guest, the villa is not shared with the owner’s mother but she lives close-by. The villa has its own entrance and it is independent. If there was a damage to the local sewer, it was not the owner’s responsibility. Things can happen but the important thing is that issues are solved, even if it involves a little noise. Yes you are right, there was a problem with the dishwasher and with the sink during your stay, they were both full of food you threw inside and that provoked serious damages to the pipes of the villa. This was the reason why you were asked to pay € 200 of damages. The owner took photos and videos as well, proving the damages were provoked by your total disregard. If there had been such a big problem to the pipes before your arrival, other guests would have complained about it. Instead, we have only got positive reviews and our medium rating was nearly 5.0, before your review. But you gave us 1 star which was clearly a revenge because we asked the whole damage deposit to you.

Maison n'offrant pas les prestations à la hauteur du prix de la location. Douches nécessitent une rénovation complète., coupures d électricité si les clims sont branchées en meme temps. La nonna, bien qu adorable, vit dans une partie du batiment. Quartier décevant, beaucoup de vis à vis donc aucune intimité. Problème de parking (les gens se garent devant le portail, vous empêchant de sortir ou rentrer la voiture). Pas d acces direct à la plage: besoin de marcher dans la rue, traverser la route principale et seulement arriver le long du front de mer. Pas beaucoup d activités dans le village ni en front de mer et très peu de commerces. Plage de galets. Pas de sable. Bref on a souvent du partir ailleurs pour voir de belles plages et de beaux paysages.

Mädelsurlaub in Sizilien

Unser Aufenthalt in der Villa war echt toll. Es war alles super und so wie beschrieben. Schade nur, dass kein Bäcker oder so in der Nähe war zum einkaufen. Für den Supermarkt sind wir meist in einen größeren gefahren nach Ribera. Alles in allem ein gelungener Urlaub.

We had a fantastic week in Seccagrande. While the town may not have been as busy as we expected, Andrea's house was fantastic and we really loved our stay there. Eine kleine Oase

Es ist eine wunderschöne Villa. Echt atemberaubend. Der Garten super gepflegt. Eine sehr schöne Terrasse mit Blick auf den Garten (Palmen). Der Pool ist wunderschön und umzäunt so das kinder nicht einfach zum Pool alleine laufen können. Wir wurden mit einem Essenkorb empfangen. Wenn man was benötigt oder fragen hat dann ist es kein Problem, die Vermieter wohnen auch in der Villa im Apartment nebendran. Und sind alle super freundlich und hilfsbereit. Zu Fuß erreicht man in 5 min die Strandpromenade. Tagsüber kann man dort schwimmen gehen und Eis essen. Und abends kann man dort sehr gut essen gehen, spazieren und den Sonnenuntergang genießen. Wir haben uns super wohl gefühlt und wir kommen auf jeden Fall mal wieder hierher. Danke für die Gastfreundlichkeit

Beautiful villa with amazing hosts!

Our stay at the villa was great! Andrea and his parents, who helped him out, were incredibly friendly. Andrea's english is good, and he is always willing to help out with activities you can do, places you can visit and restaurant recommendations. The Villa itself is spacious with a large outdoor area.

PARFAIT !!!

Magnifique villa et hôtes exceptionnels: Anna et Vicenzo, ainsi que leurs enfants, toujours de bons conseils et au petit soin avec nous. La Villa dépasse même le descriptif de l'annonce. Spacieuse, bien équipée et très propre, la maison a été entièrement conçue par Vicenzo. C'est un havre de paix au milieu de la ville avec ses palmiers et sa belle piscine; elle est également très proche de la mer, 200 mètres à pied. Nous avons l'habitude de louer des villas et sommes très exigeants: elle est parfaite à tous points de vue, nous la recommandons vivement. Merci Anna, merci Vicenzo !

tolles ferienhaus

wir haben vom 19.07-29.07.2020 unsere ferien im haus verbracht, tolle lage, schöne strände (in 10min. mit dem auto erreichbar) haus ist wie auf den fotos, toller pool auch für kinder geeignet. die eltern die im gleichen haus wohnen sind auch sehr freundlich. danke und liebe grüsse aus der schweiz

Best place to stay in Sicily

Absolutely stunning villa with great host Andrea who looked after us throughout the stay not to mentioned little gifts every day. Villa it self is big spacious and very well equipped. Lovely garden and private swimming pool makes this place remarkable. Location is also great. I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for little bit of luxury for reasonable price. Will definitely be back there one day!!!

Geweldig huisje en gastheer

Het huisje is werkelijk geweldig. Net zoals op de foto's. De gastheer is erg vriendelijk en het zwembad hebben we elke dag benut. Omdat we er in de herfstvakantie waren en het seizoen in secca grande dan eigenlijk al voorbij is waren de meeste cafés en restaurants gesloten. Gelukkig vonden we toch nog wat in de buurt. De eigenaar kwam dagelijks langs en bracht steeds wat lekkers mee, echt heel vriendelijk. Ik zou er zeker nog eens terug naar gaan.
