Esta encantadora casa decorada profesionalmente fue construida en 2005 y completamente renovada por nuevos propietarios en marzo de 2017. Hace una copia de seguridad en el Refugio Nacional de Vida Silvestre Bon Secour para proporcionar un lugar cómodo y privado para relajarse después de un día en la playa. La casa de 2900 pies cuadrados ofrece tres pisos, cuatro dormitorios y tres baños completos. Además, encontrarás 2 espacios para vivir, dos porches, un nido de cuervos y un cómodo garaje para un auto, con carrito de golf y 2 bicicletas de crucero para la playa incluidas para un paseo rápido a la playa.

En la planta baja encontrará una amplia sala de estar con un Smart TV de 65 ", un gran sofá seccional que se despliega en una cama completa y muchos asientos. La zona de estar está abierta al comedor y a la cocina totalmente equipada con encimeras de granito y mostrador de desayuno, nevera, microondas, cafetera Keurig, lavavajillas y zona de lavandería con lavadora y secadora de tamaño completo. Justo al lado de la sala de estar y el comedor hay un gran porche trasero con muchos asientos al aire libre donde puede disfrutar del sonido de las olas.

También en la planta baja hay una suite principal con una cómoda zona de estar, una gran TV montada, un generoso armario y un baño principal con una gran bañera de jardín, una ducha separada con mampara de vidrio, un tocador doble y una sala separada para inodoro. En el otro lado del vestíbulo es un dormitorio de invitados con una cama queen size y TV montada grande y baño completo adyacente. Mientras que el baño está separado del dormitorio, el pasillo puede cerrarse por una puerta para crear la privacidad y la sensación de un segundo dormitorio principal.

En la planta superior, descubrirá dos habitaciones para huéspedes (una con dos camas queen y dos con dos camas individuales), un baño completo y una pintoresca sala de estar con sofá cama, cómodos asientos y un televisor grande con una PlayStation 4. Es el lugar de reunión perfecto para niños y adolescentes. Unos pocos pasos más conducen al nido de cuervo amueblado con vistas panorámicas del hermoso Golfo de México. El nido de cuervo cuenta con 2 camas nido (para cuatro) con sus propios televisores. Otras características incluyen techos de 24 pies en las salas de estar y comedores, techos de 10 pies en todas las otras áreas de estar de la planta baja, ventiladores de techo, calefacción central y aire acondicionado, wifi y muchas áreas de almacenamiento.

Our stay

The house was beautiful but we felt the listing was little misleading. It looked like the peer went straight from the house to the beach and that’s not so. The driveway doesn’t fit two vehicle's (suv truck)so for a house that sleeps so many this was inconvenient and annoying. We were unable to do any laundry due to the washing machine not working and also were down to two bathrooms because the upstairs tub would not drain. Overall: we would choose elsewhere if we decided to come back.

House was big enough for our group, parking was a problem, only room for 2 vehicles, other cars were parked offsite with a charge of 50. Golf cart was a plus getting to the beach and pool. Some minor issues with the washing machine, coffee pot and icemaker.

Too many rules about parking , I don’t understand why you rent a house that sleeps 8 to 10 people and it states on the description that you can park 2 cars in the driveway but you can only fit 1 . Even with 1 in the driveway the golf cart will not fit in the driveway . Garage is small and full of old beach toys so the golf cart is all that fits in the garage . We had to pull one of the vehicles up half way as far as it could go to fit the second vehicle in the driveway . Cause we were told that that they were very Strict about parking and you would get a 100. Ticket . They do offer overflow parking . But guess what that is 25. A day . Yes a day !! Some friends came to visit us and hang out on the beach with us and they had to pay 25. To park . Why do you have a house that sleeps that many and you can barely fit 1 car in the driveway. Then we spoke with another couple and they had to go park 2 cars at Walmart to avoid the 25. A day fee. People are on vacation and should not have to hassle shuffling vehicles around . Our golf cart was a 4 seater, we would have to make multiple trips to the beach to get everything and everyone there . Yes there was 2 bikes but 1 of them had a flat tire that would not hold air . The grill leaks gas , not safe !! The freezer door will not open up all the way due to the wall . So we would have to pull the fridge / freezer out past the wall to put stuff in and take stuff out of the freezer !

Fun Visit After Getting In!

We enjoyed out stay at the Hammock House. It is close to the beach that is not busy at all. The golf cart and garage full of beach and pool equipment was great. We did have issues getting into the house. The door code did not work, the doors were locked and the keys did not work. We had to call the homeowner to get into the house and then only got in because the garage door was broken. The listing is accurate. The house is big with plenty of indoor and outdoor space for the 11 people we had. Very comfortable beds and spaces to come and go. There were a couple of things we were hoping for that were listed but had issues with. The Playstation 4 gaming system did not work and there was mold on the ceiling in the 2nd bathroom on the main floor. Just a few things that made it not a perfect house but no one looks back and didn't enjoy their time at the Hammock House.

Absolutely Loved this home

This home was absolutely amazing. The only Con to this property is the parking. The driveway is very small, we were barely able to fit two SUVs in the lot. For a home this size I would definitely recommend more parking for bigger families traveling in multiple vehicles. We were able to park one of the three on a secured property not too far from the home, however there was a slight fee. Other than that this home was perfect!

We really enjoyed our time at hammock house. The house was the perfect size for our family of 12 the beach was a little further from the house than I liked however the golf cart helped with that. It was great having 2 pools.

Labor Day Weekend at the Hammock House

This was our second year in a row, to stay at the Hammock House. My grandkids and I loved the house and the location. My grandkids were upset to leave, because they were having so much fun. The house was in a great location, with a security guard to patrol the area. All the security guards were very friendly and very helpful. The only thing I disliked was the overflow parking, which was maybe 1/4 to 1/2 a mile down the road. It was kinda an inconvenience. The guy with the overflow parking is super nice as well. We, absolutely, enjoyed our stay. I wish we could have stayed longer.

Quiet and comfy

This property was perfect for a family of 11, including adults, teens and children under 12. Plenty of space to spread out. It was in a quiet neighborhood with beautiful pools and great access (5 minute with golf cart/10 minute walk) to the beach. The beach was never crowded. We would stay here again!

Our family loved it!! It was close to pool and beach!! The pier walk way was excellent to the beach!! The kids loved riding bikes! Only thing is you need more bikes! Youth bikes for smaller kids! I’d say atleast 6 bikes would be perfect! The neighborhood was awesome! If you are looking for a great vacation home here it it!!

Great house for a large family

Overall, we loved our vacation, and the house met our needs! We had 11 people in the house - 8 adults and 3 teenagers. The house was clean, very cute, and we had plenty of space. There was nothing that we considered "bad" about the house, but I do have some feedback that owners and future renters may want to know. * With the house fitting 12 people, the likelihood there will be more than one family renting this home is high. Therefore, it would be nice for the 1st floor guest bedroom to have a king size bed also instead of a queen so the heads of 2 families don't have to flip for the only king size bed. * There are no dressers, nor any luggage racks to place your open suitcase on, in the 1st floor bedrooms or the crows nest. Therefore, you either have to hang everything up or live out of your suitcase on the floor. Bring hangers because there were very few hangers in any of the closets of the 4 bedrooms. There were dressers in the 2nd floor bedrooms. * Although the VRBO description did not specify the size of the golf cart, we were surprised to find that it was only a 4-person golf cart vs. a 6-person considering the size of the house. However, the golf cart was VERY nice and looked almost brand new. We just coordinated multiple trips to the beach with all of our stuff. * Screened in porch had some tears in the screen that we taped closed. The nature reserve behind the house is pretty, but the bugs are vicious! * Neighborhood great! Pools great! Beach great!

We love staying at this property. My only complaint is that you can only have two cars on property and have to pay $50 to store other vehicles off the property. Just a little inconvenient when you have a large family.

Amazing house and location!

The house is perfect for a family vacation with multiple families and children. The golf cart and bikes are perfect for ease of beach going. The indoor pool is also perfect for cold or rainy days. The property manager was easy to contact and check in/out was extremely easy. Thank you Hammock House!

Spacious family vacation home

My family recently rented this property for our family vacation. It was fully stocked and very comfortable. The house was large enough that everyone could escape to their own corners for down time. The kids loved the crow's nest, my parents were very comfortable in their master suite. My husband and I had our own area downstairs as well. The golf cart is a plus to get around the neighborhood in. A few of us utilized the gym this time, it was sufficient. We love the pool to dip in after the beach. My father is wheelchair bound and the house was perfectly suitable for him. Martinique is in a great location, it's very family oriented. The neighborhood is quiet yet close enough to shopping and restaurants. We will be back soon and are going to stick with this particular property.

Great place to stay

Met all of our expectations. Golf cart, bikes and equipment for the beach was awesome. Lots of room for big families to spread out. Air conditioning worked well throughout all 3 stories of the house. We love Martinique.

Family Vacation

Needs professionally cleaned and updates done

This house has SOOO much potential! The layout and size of the house is perfect for a large family. Unfortunately the owners need someone besides whoever they are using to come in and clean and do repairs. We called with concern about mold prior to our stay due to another comment. The only mold/mildew we saw was in one bathroom and it wasn’t a lot but it was still there along with a hole in the ceiling . The walls are filthy, the sofa and chairs are filthy, along with the garage being filthy. The stove was brand knew, unfortunately the renters bf us cooked on it and left boiled over water/food on the top (cleaning crew again did nothing) So I understand poor renters probably caused the issues but with a proper cleaning co to clean and touch up paint, etc this could be a very nice house. The golf cart was phenomenal and made trips to the beach and pool much easier. I wouldn’t say it’s an easy walk to the beach but maybe to the pools. Overall due to the cleanliness I would NOT stay here again. The owners will also use the excuse for negative reviews that the person wanted a refund. We did contact with concerns twice about the mold. The first one I took their word so didn’t cancel even tho it was still w/in my time frame, I did call a few days bf this visit w/concern again bc a recent review stated mold. The husband first said they would refund, when I called him back he said he would have to talk to his wife who then stated we were past the refund date but would give us a partial refund (no amount stated) but assured us no mold. I will also say I believe the pictures are from when the house was new/freshly renovated. We made the best of what we had and tried not to let it ruin our family vacation

Dirty and not worth the price

There are multiple issues with the home!! The pictures posted are not accurate. The oven was broken when we arrived and had been for over a month. The hosts did not inform us till we were there. After several days of contacting them they did finally replace it. The gas grill outside is filthy from lack of proper cleaning, The home itself needs lots of repairs..many ceiling leak stains, filthy air vents, mold around vents and on windows, as well as baseboards covered in dirt and filth. The furniture in the family room has so many stains I don't even want to sit on it. The kitchen windows have a green film of mildew on them ~ not what we were expecting, or represented in your listing on VRBO We have stayed in many other properties in this neighborhood that were perfect, an that's what we expected with the listing. For the price, we were expecting a nice, clean property but it was not that at all. When we talked about these issue with the host they were zero help besides the oven which should have been done before we arrived. The only positives of the house were the location and a nice golf cart.
