Lovely Private Cave Apartment
A truly rare little gem nestled in a mountainside in Baza. This 1 bedroom self contained private apartment has its own entrance. You will be greeted on arrival with a welcome pack of delights. Then your senses will be stimulated and enchanted by the absolute magical charm of Casa Estrellas uniqueness.
Offering a 1 bedroom cave with its own cave wardrobe dressing area. A fully equipped Andalusian style kitchen and bathroom, with a library/chill out/ music making separate cave, and patio for relaxing with a bbq/ fire pit. With a sun lounging space on the patio, you will never miss out on the beautiful Andalusian sunshine.
You will be provided with a welcome pack which includes water, and an alcoholic beverage, and biscuits for you to enjoy.
Enjoy the tranquility by day and at night Star Gazing is a must from your private patio space.
Baza is a vibrant Moorish Town with over 146 bars and restaurants scattered about.
It’s well know for the Cascamorras Festival and Fiesta, where people come from all over the world to watch the fun. The spectacular Sierra Nevada is just over an hour drive away, Lake Negratin, which is 16 km long is 10 mins away by car and offers stunning scenery, lake side restaurants, kayaking, quad biking, horse riding, fishing, hiking and a vast amount of picnic areas and hidden gems of ruins and waterfalls.
The nearest beach Vera or Mojacar is 1 hour and 20 mins away by car, and offers all the fun of the seaside, with the spectacular weather, fine restaurants and a happy go lucky atmosphere. The amazing Fig Forest is a great place to visit.
Baza offers a National Park, with miles of mountain drives and walks.
Whether you like swimming, bird watching, kayaking, site seeing, walking, shopping or just chilling, Baza offers it all.
Your Host is Michelle ( who lives next door) and will be available immediately should you need assistance. ( although her Spanish is in the learning stage ) Google translate is readily available.

I didn’t particularly choose this area. I saw my house advertised on Fb and came over to view it. The Community of British residence, the warm welcome, the Moorish vibe and the whole energy of Baza helped me with my decision to buy a property here.
I love the atmosphere of Cascamorras which happens over 12 days beginning of September. Hundreds of thousands of people come from all over the world to take part and enjoy the festivities. lake Negratin offers hours of fun with its inland beach, it’s warm mineral water, it’s hiking, kyacking, horse riding, quad biking and loads of lakeside restaurants and the most stunning scenery …what’s not to like ?

I love Casa Estrella which means Star Cave. It’s nestled beautifully and secluded from the elements. It used to be several animal shelters 100s of years old, which I lovingly converted with the help of my trusted builder. Casa Estrella offers natural Air Conditioning in the caves, a constant temperature of 18- 20 * a lovely bbq and patio area for relaxing and at night Star Gazing is a must. I love the little ‘Snug’ offering 60 plus reading books, craft and hobby books, magazines, cushions and bongos for a fun jammin session.
