In just a few minutes by car, you can reach Leuca, with its promenade famous for its magnificent 19th-century Art Nouveau villas; a few more minutes will take you to the vast, snow-white beaches, such as Lido Venere, the “Maldives of Salento,” or the “Cinque Vele.” Summer in Salento, both day and night, is packed with activities, festivals, and much more—all just a short distance from our home. Fun is guaranteed! If you’d rather relax, however, you can do so just as easily by traveling just a few kilometers—or even walking—to beautiful, less-crowded yet equally charming spots, or by staying at home. In addition, there are countless trails and paths surrounded by nature. One of these is the “Sentiero delle Cipolliane,” which starts right from Marina di Novaglie on the boundary between land and sea, winding through steep cliffs and the deep blue of the Ionian Sea all the way to the village of Ciolo.
