Max 4 adults + child + babe in arms. The cottage is on a private row opposite the village green. When Goodwood events are on the village stirs and you can feel the buzz of excitement in the air. At other times it is sleepy and peaceful.

If you enjoy walking there are stunning walks in every direction from East Dean. Walk up to the South Downs Way (just over two miles) to look out over the beautiful countryside stretching out before you. Walk the three miles to Goodwood and enjoy breakfast at the Waterbeach (or enjoy a spa treatment at the Health Club). Walk or run for miles in the cool and elegant beech woods - Strava will show you the way.

Relax in the pretty garden, have supper watching the swifts, swallows and house martins swoop and scream through the sky. On a hot day flint walls keep the cottage cool and reading on the sofa with the double doors open brings the outside inside.

If you don’t feel like cooking in the homely, well equipped kitchen, then book a table at our local pub where you will receive a warm welcome from Jim our wonderful landlord.

Fibre to the premises wifi will keep everyone connected. A tidy fence will keep youngsters where you want them. For the competitive we have a range of board and card games.

This is a happy house and as a family we have so much fun here. I hope that you will feel that warmth and welcome when you walk through the door.
