The Space:
Step aboard the Guards Van, a beautifully restored train carriage offering a truly one-of-a-kind stay in the peaceful village of Akeld, nestled at the foot of the Northumberland National Park just a few moments from Wooler. Sleeping two guests, this charming conversion blends heritage character with modern comfort, making it perfect for a romantic getaway or a countryside escape with a twist.
Inside, the carriage features a bright and welcoming open-plan living space, complete with cosy seating, a well-equipped kitchenette, and thoughtful design touches throughout.
The bedroom can be configured as a Double or Twin room. With either configuration you can expect a beautifully presented room with soft linens and warm lighting.
The stylish private bathroom includes a walk-in electric shower, WC and basin.
Outside, guests can enjoy a private garden area with outdoor seating and a luxurious hot tub, all set against the backdrop of Northumberland’s tranquil landscape.
