La casa Carndonagh es perfecta para una escapada romántica en pareja o un pequeño retiro familiar. La casa está decorada al estilo de una granja industrial: los propietarios, Chuck y Dawn Doherty, son grandes fanáticos de Fixer Upper.

Esta hermosa casa se encuentra a poca distancia del centro de Atascadero con los jardines hundidos, bares de vinos, cines, boutiques, cervecerías artesanales y restaurantes. La Casa Carndonagh también tiene una ubicación central entre las bodegas Paso Robles (15 minutos al norte), San Luis Obispo (20 minutos al sur) y hermosas playas de la costa central a 20 minutos al suroeste.

La Casa Carndonagh es una casa recientemente renovada de 1000 pies cuadrados en dos niveles. Las dos habitaciones de arriba están amuebladas para mayor comodidad en el estilo de una granja industrial. El dormitorio principal tiene una cama tamaño queen y una sala de estar. El segundo dormitorio tiene un sofá cama doble con un nido doble.

Hay una cocina totalmente equipada, comedor, sala de estar, televisor de pantalla plana con ROKU (que incluye NETFLIX, Amazon Prime y Hulu), reproductor de DVD, WiFi gratis y chimenea. El patio delantero es el lugar perfecto para disfrutar de su café de la mañana y relajarse después de un día en la playa o degustación de vinos. Best place ever stayed. Super soft beddinHilton quality.

This was the best Arno we have ever stayed. It’s a new 2 bedroom cottage with 1-1/2 baths with excellent WiFi all necessary kitchen appliances and even a bottle of wine.

Great getaway retreat

Hidden Gem in Atascadero

We had a wonderful stay at this perfectly appointed rental. The hosts were incredibly gracious and took the time to meet with us and go over the details of the house. We could not have been more happy with our experience and would highly recommend this rental to anybody looking for a getaway to the Paso Robles/Atascadero area.

Wonderful getaway

We loved our stay here. Check in and check out was seamless. The house was spotless and so welcoming. There were thoughtful touches everywhere from a welcome scone to fresh eggs. It was a quiet relaxing location that was a mile from the town center and a short drive / uber from Templeton, Paso Robles and the vineyards.

Perfect Location!

The house was impeccable and the added touches of butter, eggs and scones was a sweet surprise. The neighborhood is quiet and in the perfect location. I highly recommend stopping at Trader Joe’s for more breakfast and dinner supplies. We made breakfast every day. Also, after a long day of tastings it was nice to go back and have a light dinner and more wine. I highly recommend this place and will stay again soon!

Just as Lovely the Second Time

We very much enjoyed another stay at the Carndonagh House. Dawn and Chuck genuinely care about your comfort and are very generous with all the extras they provide. The cottage is very clean, quiet and located where there are many places to visit within a 10-30 minute drive.

Awesome home! Very close to downtown

We were in town for a wedding just 15 mins away. So this place was perfect! Once you walk inside you already feel at home. It was so warm and cozy. We loved it! Thank you Dawn and Chuck for the great bottle of wine and the delicious scones. I would highly recommend this great spot in Atascadero.

Amazing Get-Away

This must be the nicest place we've ever rented through VRBO. From beginning to end, our stay was stellar. The setting is lovely, the house is even prettier and more comfortable than described, and the hosts were amazing. Truly, it was magical! And the added touch of fresh scones, cream, and jam were extraordinary, as were the fresh egsgs. All in all, this place is a 10 out of 5!

Wonderful, relaxing stay

I can't say enough about how wonderful this place is! The owners thought of every detail, including a well-stocked refrigerator, homemade Christmas cookies, and a bottle of wine. The home is neat as a pin and beautifully decorated. The fireplace insert is so welcoming on a chilly day, and quickly warms up the living room. There is plenty of privacy, but close proximity to town and local wineries. We highly recommend this rental, and would definitely come here again! Wonderful hosts!

Clean, comfortable and a warm welcome!

This is a very clean, comfortable and beautifully decorated home. Dawn and Chuck are great hosts and the cookies, bread and wine are such a warm welcome! The items left for breakfast were so appreciated. We took them up on the wine and food pairing dinner offered and would highly recommend this option. It is nice to have a dinner"out" and then walk across the property to home! Do not hesitate to book this accommodation.

Amazing Anniversary Getaway

This was an amazing time for my wife and I. Dawn and her husband were great hosts and attended to anything we needed. the home was super clean, quaint, and had all of the necessities we could have ever needed. We were greeted with homemade scones and jam, breakfast for the morning and coffee. We were also left with a bottle of wine and chocolates for our anniversary. Wine tasting nearby and Dawn recommended local places to eat and visit. A must stay in the Astacadero and Paso Robles. We will be back for sure!

Truly a place called Peace on earth!

What started off as a place to stay for a friends wedding, turned out to be the most soul-satisfying retreat. Chuck and Dawn are exceptional hosts. Every attention to detail was met and then some. Arriving to the Irish Melody tunes when we walked in, was like getting a great big hug from a loved one. We look forward with great anticipation for a Springtime retreat. Thank you Chuck & Dawn!

Great Place to Stay When in or Near Atascadero!

This is our second visit to Cardonaugh House. Once again, the owners have exceeded our expectations. This is one VRBO listing where the actual property is better than the photos depict. This property is super clean, extremely well-decorated and inviting. There was a bottle of local wine, yummy homemade scones, bread, plum jam from a tree on the property and a very well-stocked fridge complete with eggs, butter, cream, bacon, etc. No other owners so all this for their guests. The owners should be given a VRBO award for going over the top ensuring their guests are happy!

Paradise in Atascadero

This house is perfectly appointed for any occasion. This was my second trip. I liked it so much the first time, I brought my family to enjoy it this time. We were able to do San Luis Obispo, Morro Bay, Cambria, Paso Robles, and Atascadero all from this central location. Pair that with the impeccable hospitality of Chuck & Dawn and you have the perfect property for a trip to the central coast. The air conditioning worked perfectly, even on the hottest of days. Stay here! You won’t be disappointed.

It was an exceptional experience. Enjoyed meeting owners, Dawn & Chuck who warmly welcomed us to their adorable cottage. They went above and way beyond to think of everything possible to make us feel at home and they very much succeeded. The home was spotless, quiet and super cute. This experience will be our new gold standard to which we will compare all others and frankly, we believe the only way we will find it is to return to the Carndonagh House. Home Away from Home

Charming Central Coast property, surrounded by trees, very quiet, and very clean. All kitchen amenities are available, including 3 different ways to brew coffee. The homemade scones and jam and fresh eggs were a pleasant surprise, and we enjoyed eating breakfast while watching the squirrels in the yard. The property owners were glad to help with any questions or suggestions for activities. Walking into the town center is not taxing if you are a walker, but be prepared to walk beside the road. SLO and Paso Robles are a short drive and offer more dining choices. We look forward to another visit.

Chuck and I finished remodeling The Carndonagh House in October 2017. We are HUGE "Fixer Upper" fans and have transferred many of Chip and Joanna Gaines' ideas into our home.

The Carndonagh (Carn-Donna) House is named for the town of Chuck's ancestors in Donegal, Ireland. We adore Ireland and everything Irish!

Both of us adore entertaining! We want our guests to love the Central Coast Wine Country as much as we do. Our goal is a beautiful and comfortable home and great hospitality.

We fell in love with the Central Coast Wine country several years ago. We explored it often staying in a variety of vacation rentals. It's been our dream to buy a home in this area and provide the very best to our guests. We hope other travelers will fall in love with this area while staying in our beautiful home.

We have over 300 wineries in our area! This is the PERFECT place to visit if you love great wines and excellent food.

There is a weekly farmer's market walking distance from Carndonagh House.

Sitting on the front patio sipping wine in the early evening is the highlight of our day.

The kitchen's open shelving is both attractive and functional. It allows the guests to see where dishes are kept.

The primary bedroom is a modern farmhouse delight with an iron bed and plush comforters.

In bedroom two there is a very special wardrobe that will be of interest to any Narnia fans.
