One of Cardhu Lodge’s greatest assets is its location—just 100 meters from the sandy beach along the shores of Loch Insh. Guests can step outside and enjoy breathtaking views, tranquil morning walks, or even a refreshing swim in the loch. The Loch Insh Outdoor Centre offers a variety of watersports, including kayaking, paddleboarding, a jungle float and sailing, perfect for those looking to get out on the water. The centre also has an archery range, bike hire, and a dry ski slope, tubing for year-round fun.

The surrounding area is a paradise for nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts, bikes can be hired on-site. The nearby Rothiemurchus Forest offers scenic walking and cycling trails through ancient Caledonian pinewoods, where red squirrels and deer are often spotted.
