Acerca de este alojamiento
Charming country house with pool among the rolling hills of Morro d'Alba
L’Ulivo d’Oro is a characterful, fully renovated country house (casa colonica) in the picturesque Morro d’Alba, where time slows down. Situated among rolling hills, vineyards, and olive trees, with panoramic views of the Monte Conero, this is the perfect place for families or groups of friends up to 10 people who want to enjoy peace, nature, culture, and culinary discoveries together.
PROPERTY FEATURES
The 3,600 m² property includes a large garden, a heated swimming pool measuring 12 x 4 meters with shaded areas around it, a 60 m² pergola with outdoor seating and a gas barbecue, a boccia court (Italian pétanque), and a carport with space for three cars.
INTERIOR AMENITIES
Inside, you’ll find modern amenities such as air conditioning, heating, thermal glazing with mosquito screens, a spacious fully equipped kitchen, dining and living area, guest toilet, entrance hall, and a utility room with washing machine and dryer. Free Wi-Fi is available in the house and under the pergola.
ACCOMMODATION
The accommodation covers two floors of 100 m² each. Upstairs there are four comfortable double bedrooms (with separate mattresses), one of which has an extra bunk bed for children, two large bathrooms (with walk-in shower, sink, toilet, and bidet), and a linen room. Ideal for families or groups seeking comfort and charm in the heart of Le Marche.
CHILD-FRIENDLY AMENITIES
Additional amenities for the little ones include: stroller, crib, high chair, potty, baby changing table in one of the bathrooms, and a Trip-Trap children’s chair.
LOCATION AND SURROUNDINGS
Our house is located on a quiet 'strada bianca' just outside the historic center of Morro d’Alba. The surroundings are ideal for walks, bike rides, and spontaneous trips to the many charming villages and hidden gems.
CULINARY EXPERIENCES
Eating like the Italians – fresh, local, and lovingly prepared:
- Start the day with fresh bread from the village bakery 'Cooperativa Alba'
- Get top-quality meat from butcher 'Silvia Ludovici' in Belvedere Ostrense – her Fiorentina steak is legendary, the cows are raised in Morro d'Alba
- Local trattorias and osterias include 'Dal Mago', 'Vin'Canta', and 'DeGustibus'; enjoy ice cream in the village at 'La Bottega del Gelato'
- In Senigallia (just 20 minutes by car), treat yourself in the city center at 'Osteria Degli Ulivi', 'Rimante', or 'Ramé'. Beforehand, enjoy an aperitif at 'Saffi Caffè' on Piazza Saffi at the start of the shopping street. For ice cream, visit 'Gelateria Chocoice' at the Foro Annonario. Or in the evening, head to the lungomare and discover gems like 'Scalo Zero', 'Pagaia', 'Tajamare', 'La Tartana', or 'L'Angolino sul Mare'. Also, delicious ice cream and pizza at GeloGiallo in Marzocca (with a spacious child-friendly outdoor seating area)
- On Thursdays, taste porchetta at the market in Senigallia or enjoy pizza al taglio, a plate of pasta, or fritto misto at 'Mancinelli' for lunch
FAMILY ADVENTURES
Explore caves, waterfalls, and medieval towns: from the Grotte di Frasassi to the ‘lost waterfalls’ of Sarnano
- Take a day trip to San Marino, Ravenna, or even Rome (4 hours’ drive – perfect on a Sunday!)
- Visit local wineries with their Lacrima and Verdicchio, such as our neighbor 'Mario Lucchetti' or 'Vicari', or discover other grape varieties at Azienda Agraria Guerrieri in Terre Roveresche (with tasting and tour)
- Discover Monte Conero and the coastal villages of Sirolo and Numana, perfect for a day at the sea and sun. Dine on the beach at 'Da Giacchetti' in Portonovo.
- In the early evening, go to Jesi and discover the old town with its local restaurants 'Dietro le Quinte' or 'Il Gatto Matto'.
Exploration by Car or Vespa
The Le Marche region is a treasure chest full of surprises. Whether you explore on your own or opt for an organized Vespa tour, you’ll always find something special: a view that leaves you speechless, a restaurant where you linger, a village you want to return to.
ACCESSIBILITY
- Only 20 minutes’ drive from Ancona - Falconara airport (Ryanair from Charleroi)
- Coming by car? Then enjoy a beautiful drive through Switzerland and Northern Italy
PRACTICAL INFORMATION
- Supermarket 'Si con te' 3 km away in San Marcello, or in Senigallia a larger 'Si con te' or 'CONAD'
- Market on Tuesday in Morro d’Alba, on Thursday in Senigallia
- Local tips and personal recommendations are waiting for you in the house
FINAL THOUGHTS
L’Ulivo d’Oro is not a standard holiday home – it’s a place where memories are made, where children go to bed tired but happy in the evening, and where parents truly feel away from it all.
Come discover, taste, enjoy… and return home with a heart full of Italy.

Preguntas frecuentes
Acerca de su propietario/a
Propietario/a: Marc
We are Karin Mortier and Marc Pauwels, living in Edegem near Antwerp (BE), and since 1977 we’ve been passionate Italophiles with a deep love for Le Marche. We’ve had Italian friends in Senigallia since then and often spent our holidays in the region. In 2007, we caught the bug to find our own place in Italy. After exploring Piemonte, Emilia Romagna, and Le Marche in search of a home that met our criteria —proximity to a village, land and living space, cadastral expansion potential — we ultimately returned to the province of Ancona. There, we found this house in 2009 after much searching. We renovated the upper floor (leaving the stables and storage areas below untouched), and in 2012–2013 we added a pool, carport, and pergola. Since we were both still working at the time, the house remained our holiday home, where we spent as much time as possible with our children, family, and friends. In 2021, after retiring, we began a much-needed renovation — also due to earthquake damage —respecting local and regional building codes for seismic safety and energy efficiency. We installed new electrical and plumbing systems, roof and floor insulation, solid wood windows with thermal glazing, solar panels, solar water heaters, and a VRV air conditioning system. We did much of the demolition ourselves with help from family and friends, and we painted everything during the finishing phase. The house was fully habitable again in July 2025. Starting in 2026, it will be available for short-term holiday rentals.
Por qué escogió este alojamiento
We were drawn by the relaxed atmosphere and friendliness of the locals, as well as the excellent nearby restaurants like Dal Mago, Vin'Canta, and Osteria DeGustibus. The proximity to larger towns like Jesi inland and Senigallia on the coast is also a big plus.
Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial
Our home is nestled among the vineyards of local producers of Lacrima, Verdicchio, and olive oil in and around Morro d'Alba. The valley faces the Conero and enjoys a cooling sea breeze in summer. The peaceful background sounds — cicadas, crickets, and the familiar hum of a tractor among the vines or in the sunflower and wheat fields — transport you to another world. L’Ulivo d’Oro is not a standard holiday home; it’s a place where memories are made, where children fall asleep tired but happy, and where parents truly unwind. Come discover, taste, enjoy… and return home with a heart full of Italy.
