Private lakeside cabin next to the fjells

The cozy and homely Jussanmaa log cabin is located on the shore of the fish-rich Äkäsjärvi lake, near the Pallas-Yllästunturi National Park, in the middle of the most beautiful nature in Lapland. The cottage is a real beach cottage, less than 20 m from the beach. Your own beach is closer than 150 m. Your own peace and privacy is guaranteed. The nearest neighbors are more than 100 meters away.

From the Äkäsjärvi you have views to nearest fjells and in the night time you have the best opportunities to see northern lights! Your own space is granted as the nearest neighbors are more than 100 m away and the lake has only very few cabins. The cabin is surrounded with natural forest, where you find the berries and mushrooms to collect in the autumn time. You can use the rowing boat to explore the lake and fishing is also possible. In the winter time also snow shoes are provided to getting around in the deep snow that can exceed over 1 meter snow cover.

The cottage has just been renovated and extensively updated. Downstairs, the cottage has a kitchenette with a sofa bed, a toilet and an electrically heated sauna. Upstairs, you'll find accommodation (2 x double bed and a sofa bed), a workspace with needs, and a lounge area. There's a barbecue hut and storage rooms outside. The kitchen is well equipped. There is also a fireplace and a baking oven. The sauna and shower cabin are spacious, and you can take a dip in the lake if you wish.

Near by (15-40 km) you find four skiing centers with rental services, National Park (Pallas-Ylläs) with marked tracks and free services with shelters, fireplaces and toilets. The nearest town is 20-25 minutes away with shops, pharmacy, etc. Railway station (Kolari) and airport (Kittilä) are prox. one hour away.
