Acerca de este alojamiento
Adelphia - Seis Habitaciones Villa, Capacidad 12
Gazing out over Alonissos's east coast, the cobalt blue of the Aegean Sea, and a clutch of emerald green islands, Adelphia is a way of life rather than just a villa. Conceived with conviviality and hedonistic pleasures in mind, it offers fabulously flexible accommodation gathered round a central Club House, acres of space in which to unwind, numerous options for al fresco living, and, in its awe-inspiring, 25m-long pool, a truly unique focal point.
Accommodation at Adelphia is spread out over three independent sleeping suites and a central, communal hub, the Club House. Aesthetically, every effort has been made to an create a welcoming, serene and inspiring ambience, with clean lines, light-filled, airy spaces, gentle palettes, carefully chosen soft furnishings, and an abundance of original artworks.
The Club House: accessed from a well-furnished, panoramic deck, the Club House is home to Adelphia's communal areas, and it is here where all guests can meet to chat, cook, dine and spend convivial moments together. Its design, which features stone walls, lofty, wood-beamed ceilings, sky blue doors and window frames, hardwood floors, large picture windows and sliding glass doors, is echoed throughout the property. The atmosphere is luminous, welcoming and full of joie de vivre.
On the lower level of the Club House is a circular, in-built sitting area with plenty of cushions and glorious views. At the centre, suspended from the ceiling, is a designer fireplace..
A couple of steps lead up from the sitting area to a bright dining area, which flows on, through a large opening, to the well-equipped contemporary kitchen.
Suite Adelphi: situated just to the right of the Club House (when looking out to sea), Suite Adelphi is home to two independent double bedrooms. One has an en-suite shower room, the other has an in-room shower, an en-suite WC, and a little desk. Both have stunning views of the sea and the twin islands of Duo Adelphoi, and access to a shared deck.
Suite Peristera: located on the other side of the Club House, Suite Peristera is home to three independently accessed double bedrooms. All three have en-suite shower rooms, gorgeous views of the sea and the island of Peristera, and access to a long, well-furnished, shaded deck.
Suite Joura: next to Suite Peristera, Suite Joura is laid out over two levels. Down below is a sitting area, a kitchenette and a shower room. Up above, on an open mezzanine, is a double bed. Suite Joura also has its own panoramic, L-shaped deck with barbecue and dining area.
Outside: set in three acres, Adelphia offers innumerable possibilities for al fresco pleasures. The Club House and each of the suites has their own panoramic decks that are furnished with a mix of quality, well-cushioned armchairs, loungers and sofas. Suite Peristera and Suite Joura also have a dining table.
Steps lead down from all of these decks to the gardens, which are crisscrossed by paths linking the Suites to the Club House and to various parts of the grounds. Immediately below the Club House is a fabulous al fresco dining area with a long table. It is here that your resident cook and team will serve your meals.
Strolling down through the olive tree-dotted grounds, one soon comes to the Adelphia's masterpiece, its phenomenal, multi-dimensional pool. 25m-long, it's great for keen swimmers, but at each end it also features curvaceous wallowing areas, one with wide circular steps, the other with a shallow, beach-effect ledge. Its stone-flagged surround offers plenty of space for everyone to find their own spot, flower beds planted with aromatic shrubs and herbs scent the air, and olive trees whisper in the gentle sea breezes.
The pool terrace extends to one side to incorporate a circular, built-in sitting area, a scattering of tables and chair, a bar, and an outdoor shower. Just behind the bar is a large built-in barbecue, wood-fired oven and sink.
The remaining grounds, which are a natural continuation of Alonissos's natural habitat, are a delight to explore.
Due to the nature of the property including unprotected terraces and several drops around the grounds, children must be supervised at all times.
Due to the relatively limited number of hydrofoil/ferry connections between Skiathos and Alonissos/Skopelos in the shoulder seasons, we recommend booking morning flights or, alternatively, adding a night in Skiathos town the day before and/or after your time in Alonissos.
The number of steps (some without bannisters) that must be negotiated to get into and/or around this property might make it unsuitable for people with mobility problems.
Adelphia sits above the sea about half way up the east coast of Alonissos. The seafront tavernas, amenities and harbour of Steni Vala are just over a 10-minute drive. The island's main port, Patitiri, and the historic capital, Alonissos Town, are just a 20- and a 25-minute drive away.
Despite its diminutive size, 14km long and 4km wide, Alonissos has an embarrassment of riches when it comes to beaches. Arguably the best ones are to be found along the east coast and on the southern tip. There are several, including Agios Petros, Glifa, and Tzortzi Gialos within 15 minutes, while a few minutes more will take you up the coast to Agios Dimitrios, whose splendid white sands and intense blue waters are irresistible. The north of the island also boasts some idyllic coves and beaches but most of these are only accessible by boat: an excellent reason to rent one for your stay.
Alonissos, its surrounding waters and minor islands, including Peristera, Kyra Panagia, Gioura, Psathoura, Piperi and Skantzoura, form the Alonissos Marine Park, the largest of its kind in Europe. Established in 1992, its 2,250km2 is home to a fascinating variety of flora, fauna, marine life (including Mediterranean monk seals) and unspoilt natural beauty.
Finally, just across the water, is Alonissos's sister Sporades Island, Skopelos, which is highly recommended and easy to get to.
For more information about hydrofoils and ferries to and between the Sporades Islands, please see our dedicated page.
