Steeped in 260 years of history, Mill House is a lovingly restored grain mill where heritage meets contemporary design. Original cogs and grinding stones create striking focal points for breakout discussions, while bespoke interiors, a handmade kitchen, and the Piggeries, a unique dining and wellness space, collaboration and rejuvenation. Set in a dramatic valley near Trefeglwys (between Llanidloes and Machynlleth), it spans ten acres of meadows and woodland adjacent to a 150-acre working farm. Exclusive access to the Piggeries via a covered walkway includes a dining area, bar, and treatment room, perfect for team meals, evening networking, or wellness sessions.

Step inside to character-rich spaces where ancient history inspires modern thinking. Original mill cogs and grinding stones blend with contemporary interiors, ideal for informal huddles. The stone hallway leads to a boot-room for practical storage after outdoor team activities, plus a downstairs cloakroom with striking wallpaper.

The handmade kitchen is a standout, equipped for catered working lunches or group catering, flowing into a generous dining area with a 10-seater table for strategy meetings. Two living spaces share a double-sided wood-burning stove, with deep sofas perfect for debriefs or downtime.

Outside, a designed arbour by orchard apple trees hosts alfresco dining, or huddle around the fire pit for cosy evening storytelling. The handcrafted Heartwood Sauna (adults only), outdoor shower, and river steps provide spa-like wellness. A dedicated treatment room offers serenity for massages or quiet reflection, with soft towels and massage table (book private therapists as needed).


The Estate

Original Hideaways is a luxury rural retreat set in a quiet valley between Llanidloes and Machynlleth. The full estate includes accommodation for up to 20 guests (29 from Spring 2026), workshop and event spaces for 25–50 guests, wellness facilities and access to a 150-acre working farm. It’s designed for corporate away days, leadership retreats, team-building workshops and strategy sessions where groups need a self-contained base with indoor meeting areas and outdoor space to reset.

Shared facilities include private dining, a wellness treatment room, the Heartwood Sauna, river access for wild swimming, a fire pit, a wood-fired Argentinian grill, EV charging, walking trails, a three-acre conservation area and on-site event venues including the Grain Loft and The Piggeries.

Ideal for: events, wellbeing and creative retreats, corporate away days, team-building workshops, and large group accommodations (10–50+ guests).

- Event capacity: 25 - 50 guests
- Sleeping capacity: 20 guests  (29 guests from Spring 2026 across 4 homes)
- Bedrooms: 9 en-suites + 1 bedroom with adjacent bathroom across 2 houses (expanding to 14 bedrooms from Spring 2026)

To book: the whole estate can be booked together for 20 guests (29 guests from Spring 2026) or individual homes can be booked for up to 10 guests.
