Positioned equidistant from Coniston Water and Lake Windermere, this Lake District cottage invites guests to lace up their hiking boots or dust off their bikes and discover Cumbria’s dazzling countryside. Offering peace and a slower pace of life, the property is located in the small hamlet of Satterthwaite, where you’ll find a welcoming pub and the starting point for several excellent walking routes. It’s also on the doorstep of Grizedale Forest - a tree-lined adventure hub packed with mountain biking trails and a Go Ape centre for the more daring. Coniston (7.5 miles) and Lake Windermere (7 miles) are close by, offering boat trips, paddleboarding, and wild swimming, as well as scenic waterfront walking routes for those who prefer to stay dry. You can also drive or take a ferry across the water to reach the charming town of Windermere (13.5 miles), filled with independent shops and classic Cumbrian appeal.
Offering an appealing blend of the old and the new, this historic cottage pairs original beams and stable-style doors with contemporary styling and modern elements. The lounge is immediately inviting, with a open fire, plush seating, and a Smart TV with an Xbox One console to keep younger guests entertained.
