Keen walkers can join the rugged coast paths of The Cleveland Way, which passes through the town, and cyclists can explore the traffic-free trails of the Cinder Track. Further afield, day trips include the quaint fishing village of Staithes (10 miles) and the seaside resort of Scarborough (20 miles).
