Acerca de este alojamiento
1 Bed in Llanwrtyd Wells (oc-wal369)
Tucked away in rolling countryside just outside the traditional sleepy Welsh village of Beulah, discover true tranquilly at this former bakery building at the rear of the owner’s Georgian house, surrounded by the rugged wilderness of the Cambrian Mountains.
Accessed via a shared hallway, separating it from the owners’ house, retire to this traditional, period annexe after a long day exploring the surrounding countryside to be enveloped with stunning original features that ooze charm and character. Follow the inviting warmth of the wood burner housed inside a wonderfully preserved inglenook fireplace, which was once the bakery’s oven, into the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner and relax on the comfy armchair. Get creative with the local produce you’ve collected in the contemporary kitchen and enjoy your efforts around the farmhouse-style dining table. As day turns to night, you have a single day bed in the lounge, plus a separate double bedroom to retire to for a well-earned rest before tomorrow’s big adventure. Soak up some sunshine seated around the patio table in the shared yard and star gaze way past bedtime.
Discover the remarkable landscape of the surrounding Cambrian Mountains and the countless countryside activities such as walking with your dogs, cycling, mountain biking, horse riding and birdwatching on offer at Llanwrtyd Wells (4.5 miles), the smallest town in Britain. For horse riders, there is stabling available at the property and several beautiful trails and bridleways nearby to explore horseback, by bike or on foot; keep a look out for old Roman roads, ancient standing stones and plenty of wildlife along your journey. On the edge of the Brecon Beacons National Park, head 15.5 south-west to the charming town of Llandovery to explore its maze of independent shops and restaurants showcasing the best local produce this area has to offer.
