Nestled at the foot of the Skirrid on the eastern edge of the Brecon Beacons National Park and close to the Wye Valley, this peaceful retreat is perfect for couples seeking a relaxing escape or weekend ramblers wanting easy access to walking trails. Surrounded by serene countryside, it offers a quiet, scenic setting where you can unwind in comfort after days spent exploring the great Welsh outdoors. The area is rich in history, with some of Europe’s finest surviving castles nearby. Take a trip to Abergavenny Castle (3.5 miles), set against spectacular hills, or wander through the charming market town of Crickhowell (9.5 Miles) to see its historic castle remains. The region also has a vibrant events calendar, including the Usk Show and the Abergavenny Food Festival, giving you plenty of opportunities to enjoy local culture before returning to the comfort of your cosy, modern retreat.
Set within the peaceful grounds of the owners’ home, this detached modern cottage enjoys beautiful views toward the Skirrid, Sugar Loaf and the Usk Valley. Inside, the open-plan living space is bright and inviting, featuring a cosy seating area with garden views and a Smart TV, along with a well-equipped kitchen and a comfortable dining area for relaxed meals. A spacious hallway provides plenty of room for storing muddy boots and coats, and there is a generous shower room on the ground floor. Upstairs, the king-size bedroom features Velux windows that fill the room with natural light, creating a calm and restful atmosphere.
Outside, guests can unwind in the enclosed garden area, complete with a table and chairs for enjoying the far-reaching countryside views. Off-road parking for two cars is available.
