Whitchurch is known for its medieval and Georgian architecture, clockmaking heritage, and its weekly Friday market. Your location is only 150 metres from the town’s amenities. Less than 2 miles away, you’ll find Alderford Lake with its wild swimming, water activities and numerous walking trails, an ideal family day out. All ages will appreciate a visit to Cholmondeley Castle Gardens, only 10 miles away, with its 70 acres of beautiful gardens to explore, a play area and nature trails that take in the scenic lakeside landscape. Alternatively, lace up your boots and explore Brown Moss Nature Reserve, or follow the Sandstone Trail along rural towpaths to the Llangollen Canal, both starting within 5 miles. For days out, Bangor-on-Dee racecourse is within easy reach, and the historic Roman city of Chester is only 20 miles away, offering its famous Roman walls, cathedral, boutique shopping and a wealth of places to eat and explore.
