Discover Whitby Jet jewellery, find hidden gems at the local festivals and fairs, or take a leisurely stroll on the nearby beach, just under half a mile away. Those with a taste for adventure can board the heritage steam train, which travels for 24 miles through the North York Moors countryside. While further afield lies a whole host of inviting fishing villages and quaint market towns to explore, such as Robin Hood's Bay (5.5 miles), Staithes (10.5 miles) and Ravenscar (14 miles).
