At the heart of the home is a welcoming lounge/diner, with comfortable sofas arranged around a Smart TV and an ornamental fireplace. Unwind here after a countryside walk, warming your toes by the flame-effect electric fire or sharing mealtimes around the dining table. The separate, farmhouse-style kitchen has everything needed to rustle up delicious dinners for the group. When the day is done, climb the cottage-style stairs to discover two tastefully decorated bedrooms. Completing the accommodation is a refreshing family bathroom. Outside, sip a morning coffee at the bistro-style table in the enclosed courtyard or enjoy a spot of al fresco dining on a balmy summer’s evening. Wander out of the cottage and straight into the heart of Lavenham, with its gorgeous timber-framed buildings and narrow streets. Just 100 metres away is the Guild Hall, which houses a museum where you can learn all about the fascinating past of this picture-postcard medieval village. You’ll find a good range of independent shops and eateries within the village, or for a full day of retail therapy, head to the nearby market towns of Sudbury (7 miles) or Bury St Edmunds (12 miles). The countryside surrounding Lavenham is a haven for walkers, with footpaths through ancient woodlands and across open fields.
