Tranquil - Smart modern 2 bedrm flat for 4 with sunny garden
Apartment Tranquil is all that its name suggests - a peaceful place to kick back and relax, with all your creature comforts around you. And yet within minutes you can be at the ski lifts ready to go skiing or mountain biking, or walking round the centre of Morzine sampling all that this lovely village has to offer! The space has been fully renovated in recent years, to provide accommodation of a high standard for a family of four or two couples, each having their own bathroom with walk-in shower, WC and handbasin. And for winter 2024 /5 the bedrooms have been given a facelift with new warm Alpine cladding, new furniture, bedlinen, towels and throws!
Entrance is up a few steps from the enclosed sunny garden, directly into the lounge space, with comfortable seating, and a totally streamlined, contemporary kitchen with island doubling up as dining space. The kitchen features full-size oven, induction hob, fridge / freezer, dishwasher, microwave, kettle, Nespresso cafetiere, toaster and filter coffee machine. The main bedroom (king bed, 160cm) and one bathroom with walk-in shower is on this level, and also the laundry room, and the second bedroom and bathroom are downstairs at lower ground level. In the second bedroom there are twin beds (90cm wide) which are zip-link so can be joined to make a super king-size bed (180cm).
The apartment has one parking space just in front of the hedge. There's electric central heating, Fast Fibre Wifi, SmartTV with Canal+ and DVD player. (Note, there is no UK Freeview TV). There's a Marshall Smart Speaker. The apartment has 68 square metres of space. There's secure ski / board storage in the lockable cabinet inside the enclosed garden, and bikes can be kept securely inside the garden (we recommend you bring additional padlocks however).
The apartment is situated on a quiet residential street on the sunny side of Morzine (331 Chemin de la Salle). There are traditional Alpine chalets all around and a well established Morzine hotel, Les Cotes, nearby. The apartment is on the ground floor of a small building divided up into 6 apartments. It takes 8 minutes to walk down into the town centre, using a shortcut, or in winter you can catch the free shuttle bus (line D) that runs round the residential side of town every 30 minutes before dropping off by the Pleney ski lifts and in the central shopping area. You can walk to the SuperMorzine bubble lift in 10 mins, or you can ride there on a bike in 3 minutes
WHAT'S INCLUDED: Winter ski season (Dec 14 - April 22): bedlinen, towels and end of stay cleaning are included. In winter there is a minimum stay of 1 week. Bookings run Sunday to Sunday in the winter season and Saturday to Saturday in the summer. The Rest of the year: (April 22 - Dec 14): bedlinen and towels are included. End of stay cleaning is payable locally in Euros and costs €70. You can bring your dog with you on holiday to Apartment Tranquil, subject to accepting our standard conditions, and subject to a fee of 30 Euros.
IMPORTANT: DAMAGE DEPOSIT. We take a €300 Damage Deposit prior to your arrival. This can be paid via credit / debit card or bank transfer (Revolut preferred). We refund this deposit within 3 days of your departure. It is also possible to pay by French cheque. We will hold the Damage deposit until we have received the keys back and have been able to properly check the property. Please note the deposit rises to €500 for summer mountain biking groups and at our discretion.

Geneva Airport transfers: We operate our own airport transfer service in our licensed taxi minibus, which seats max 8 passengers in comfort with plenty of luggage space (VW Caravelle 4 x 4 long wheel base). We can offer shared transfers or private transfers, always door-to-door (unlike some transfer services who will drop you at the bus station!) – contact us for a competitive quote (Prices range from €95 per person return based on 4 travelling together, down to €66pp return for 8 travelling together) / €530 for a private transfer.
Lift pass purchase: We are able to arrange your lift passes in advance of your stay, so that they’re ready on your arrival at the apartment. We can take payment for these by credit card or bank transfer in advance, or cash on arrival in resort. We offer lower rates on area and local passes than you can buy in resort. For rates for your chosen stay, contact us.
Help with arranging child care or babysitting: we have contacts with the in-resort childcare companies and can make the initial enquiries for you. For ad-hoc babysitting we have a list of trusted contacts and can put you in touch with them after you have booked.
Start-up grocery shopping: for those arriving too late to be able to buy supplies on your first day, or if you’re arriving by airport transfer, if you contact us with your shopping list with 2 days’ advance notice, we can purchase and deliver your first days’ groceries for you, with a small charge of €20.
Full or part-catered service: we work with several highly recommended freelance caterers who can provide a combination of breakfasts, afternoon tea, daily cleaning, children's suppers and adults 3 or 4 course dinner with or without wine included, and also a dinner delivery service.
