Located within a child-friendly complex of just four idyllic properties on a working farm, this pretty stone cottage is the perfect place for families to get together to celebrate a special occasion or simply relax and enjoy glorious Devon scenery and fresh air. The accommodation, which has been awarded Gold in the Self‑Catering Accommodation category at the Devon Tourism Awards 2025–26, is set within 40 acres of farmland which includes a lake that’s home to ducks, geese and moorhens, and a Wild Wood with a stream and, in spring, swathes of bluebells. Also on site are an indoor swimming pool and sauna, a games room, gym, and indoor and outdoor children’s play areas. There’s even an animal barn where you can collect eggs, pet the donkeys, and cuddle rabbits and guinea pigs – paradise for little ones! For scenic hikes and picturesque villages, Dartmoor is just 17 miles away. Bude’s sandy beaches, sea pool, shops, and other amenities are also 17 miles, and the Milky Way Adventure Park is 15 miles away.


This welcoming property has been meticulously designed, with comfortable furnishings that complement its beautiful original features. Wooden beams adorn the ceilings, and in the lounge, there’s added atmosphere in the form of a warming wood burner, ideal for cosy nights at home. Snuggle up on the sofas and enjoy a board game, some music, or a film on the Smart TV. The farmhouse-style kitchen/diner includes a long pine table where everyone can gather for sociable meals, with all the cooking facilities you’ll need, plus a dishwasher to help clear up. A serene twin bedroom and a separate bathroom complete the ground floor, making life easier for anyone with reduced mobility. Upstairs, you’ll find a further three bedrooms, including an elegant double with an en-suite shower room and views over the lake, and a family bathroom.


Step up the shallow step and through the French doors in the lounge to enjoy the sprawling garden, where an expanse of lawn beckons children to play all kinds of games. Fire up the gas BBQ to enjoy tasty treats at the picnic-style table as you take in the countryside views, while little ones jump on the trampoline. Plus a hot tub can be hired for an additional charge. Ample parking is provided.
