Discover this welcoming and characterful cottage situated in a peaceful spot in the town of Fowey. Boasting a secret and private garden opposite the property that overlooks the river, this stylish home is the perfect bolthole for your family of four, or two couples.
Heading up a pedestrianised street, you will find this pretty cottage. Upon entering, you will find yourself in the spacious and open-plan ground-floor living space. To the left is the farmhouse-style kitchen with everything you need to rustle up delicious breakfasts, lunches and dinners, that can be enjoyed together sat around the dining table. To the right of the front door is the quaint lounge area, with an exposed stone wall, a TV and plenty of comfortable seating. When you are ready for some shuteye after a busy day exploring, head upstairs and find a king-size bedroom, a double bedroom, and a shower room. There are two fabulous outdoor areas to enjoy here: a balcony with river views accessed via the kitchen with a table and chairs, and a fabulous secret garden situated across the lane and up 20 stone steps.
The colourful town of Fowey is set on the picturesque Cornish coastline and has lots of lovely independent shops and restaurants – these can be accessed on foot within 500 metres of the cottage. If you are a group that enjoys long walks, take the South West Coast Path that winds through the town and visit Lantic Bay, a stunning sandy cove off the beaten track (2.5 miles). Alternatively, hop in the car and head 8 miles to the bustling tourist town of St Austell.
