Just a few minutes’ walk from the Market Square is the Spodek Arena – an icon of Katowice and one of the most recognizable landmarks in Poland. Together with the nearby International Congress Centre and the headquarters of the Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra (NOSPR), Spodek forms the modern Culture Zone, which is a showcase of contemporary Katowice and a key point on the city’s cultural map.
