This Ranch ... is beyond words, but I'll try. It is the peerless choice for anyone seeking rural, well-appointed lodging near Santa Barbara. It is literally and figuratively on a higher plane relative to the Ritz-Carlton just down Hwy 101. Each suite in the home offers wide-open views of undeveloped hills, while the main level's kitchen and living spaces provide sweeping views of the Pacific. Outside, multiple patios and decks allowed us to find sun or shade at any time of the day. Potential guests may want to note that 1) part of the road up to the property is (well-maintained) gravel and 2) bedroom portions of the suites do not include window coverings. We enjoyed seeing the landscape under moonlight, but some might miss the ability to fully cover bedroom windows at night. My family loved our stay! Andrea was not only thoughtful and an excellent communicator, but she even offered to help return a special keepsake that we accidentally left behind. Don't miss your chance to stay at The Ranch, if the opportunity arises.

Beautiful location only 15 minutes to town. Enjoy morning coffee overlooking the Pacific or watching the birds around the small lake. Very open and relaxing. Plus the host was fabulous.

A peaceful and beautiful home

My family and I stayed at the house during my son's graduation from UCSB. We loved the ease of driving to SB and Isla Vista and the ability to get back to a serene location. The home offers beautiful views, clean and comfy beds and a well-equipped kitchen. The outdoor water features and thoughtful landscaping creates a perfect atmosphere to enjoy wine on the decks. Our hosts were gracious and allowed us early check in.

Terrific!

Gorgeous, expansive, peaceful, super-clean space. Generously stocked with high-quality supplies, kitchenware, bedding and furnishings. Comfortable sleeping, gathering and bath areas. Beautiful, private grounds and serene views of flowering hills and the Pacific. Felt like a retreat and mini-vacation for our family while in the area for a busy wedding. Excellent value!

Amazing Views

My family enjoyed are stay at this spectacular home. It was located a stones throw to a wedding we were attending. We walked in and all go Wow! Architecturally it's a stunning home with forever views of the undeveloped hills of the California foothills and a big reservoir below. Comfy beds, everyone had their own big bathroom and views. Would stay again!

Pure Heaven!

We were enchanted from the moment we arrived! The views were incredible, and the home was so comfortable and warm. The Christmas trees (a real tree, and a beautiful abalone shell tree) were stunning and made us feel right at home during the holidays. The sunset views from both upstairs and downstairs decks were unbelievable. The tropical trees, flowers, and plants were beautiful - and the citrus trees and blackberry bushes were an added delight. Andrea was wonderful to work with, and we appreciated every single special touch she provided. We will definitely be coming back to this beautiful home.

Pre Wedding family time

This home and the setting it is in is incomparable! Breathtaking views from the ocean to the mountains. Oak trees that surround a lake and beautiful tropical plantings make this home one of a kind! The host was easy to work with and incredibly welcoming. 3 bedroom suites make this a perfect home for three couples celebrating a special occasion. A home we will never forget.

Recent stay at Naples Ranch

My husband, son and I just returned from Naples Ranch in Goleta and we had the most wonderful time. It is an absolutely beautiful property located in the hills with scenic views of the ocean, lake and sprawling hills. The house was designed to provide many levels to relax and entertain. Additionally, the soft scape is lovely and in places a bit tropical. The attention to detail is well above a 5 star rating… The kitchen is well appointed, meticulously clean, there were built in electrical outlets in the bathroom vanity, and even a telescope for star gazing! I have stayed at many rental properties and have never have posted a review before…This time I felt compelled to do so. I want the owners to know how much we enjoyed their place.

Best location

We stayed here while preparing for my daughters wedding. We had her son with us as well. Our friends helped with wedding preparations and stayed with us. It was clean and open and airy. Great views and lots of room for cake decorating and pre wedding primping! The owner was very easy to communicate with and the location was the perfect distance from our venue at Arroyo Quemada beach.

Stunning home in an excellent location

We came to SB for a wedding. The house was spectacular and our stay was perfect. One of our uber drovers had a harder time finding our location but otherwise, everything was awesome.

Simply THE BEST

Bring your food and drinks so you don’t have to go out. Check out the local hiking, including the Hondo Arroyo Preserve, reservations required. Walk on the beaches. And make the most of your vacation staying at this amazing property. It’s one of a kind and totally spectacular!

What a wonderful house!

This house is one of the best we have ever stayed at out of 50+ rentals over the years. Everything was exactly as listed, or better. Andrea is accommodating and prompt with any questions we have. The house is also very very well stocked, and we thoroughly enjoyed our experience.

CA wedding

The views at this property are stunning! The foliage and hardscape surrounding the house are impeccable. We have some beautiful pictures. Our son and his bride wanted an adventure for their wedding. This was a perfect place for us to stay. It was central enough for all the outings—winery trips, boating, and mountain hikes. The kitchen is very well equipped for meals in. The outdoor areas are set up to enjoy drinks with a view. It is hard to choose which spot to linger in. Andrea made the process very easy. She even left us abalone shell ornaments as a keepsake for the newlyweds first Christmas. This was the best equipped rental we have ever had and the beds were very comfortable. We highly recommend this property!

Home was perfect. Perhaps don’t read any of the reviews or it will spoil the experience! We had a lot of rain which made staying in this luxury home a wise choice. Kitchen was the best to cook in. Some tech to navigate at the home for Hi-fi, spotty wi-fi but fine for vacation. Would love to return if able!

Perfect!

Everything about this property is lovely, such a nice weekend getaway. So many thoughtful touches (house is well stocked) Great communication with Andrea before the trip, during, and after. This is a place you have to see in person. Sunset was beautiful, stars at night were gorgeous, beautiful fresh flowers and personalized note at check in. I definitely want to plan another trip as soon as I can!

We've been married for 26 years, and have three grown children. We hope to eventually retire to Naples and have more time to travel and enjoy the outdoors together.

We graduated from University of California at Santa Barbara in the 1980's, and have wanted to retire here ever since. We found the remote ranch property by chance, and fell in love with it immediately. It's beautiful, modern, spacious, and has the most amazing views of the ocean and mountains. We have over 50 species of birds on the property alone and the wildlife is abundant. We're happy to share this natural and beautiful serene setting with other people who also like to be in nature.

The property is situated in-between 2 private ranches, so it appears as if you are surrounded by hundreds of acres. The house also overlooks a lake, which makes you feel like you are on a boat, watching the sun glisten across the water every afternoon. There are many outdoor spaces to enjoy the surroundings, including a hiking trail to see the 180 degree ocean view, and a waterfall that trickles through the lush Hawaiian gardens. It is so relaxing that you immediately feel your stress level and blood pressure drop when you arrive.
