La Belle Dojo

I’m a Canadian now living here in The Yucatan Peninsula of Mexico. The vibe here is much different than the tourist spots of Cancun, Playa, and Tulum. I love it here. No winter weather. I’m a new Creator online myself, just recovering from a life-altering accident. Created this space so I could share the warmth of this community with others.

This community is full of Canadians and Americans and people from all over. The Mayan people are very kind and family oriented. I feel very much like family here. It’s super quiet when nobody is building anything. It’s only a few sandy roads to The Gulf of Mexico. Where you have a natural environment. Practically a private beach area to enjoy and relax in. Around the corner you have a wonderful place to go and eat at The Sayab Bistro. A family run restaurant. Down the sandy road the other way you have a fantastic hotel called The Pelican Inn at Los Dunas. They have great food a huge pool and a day pass if you want to hang out there. Live music on Sundays and other event nights during the week. The Market of Natural Thangs is only a few roads away on the main highway here as well. We are kind of in no- man’s land between Chelem and Chuburna on some of the best beach land in the area. I wanted a peaceful place to write my books and do my artwork and create videos. In this neighborhood you have the best of both worlds. I sleep soundly at night. No noisy cars going by since we are on a road that isn’t even on the map but easy to get to. So, you can have food delivered too. The pizza and other yummies from Maasai Maya are top notch. Yes, this is on the road less traveled but you can really feel at home here.

This is one of the only locations that you are not sharing with anyone else. When you move in here for your stay long or short. You have a private space. I do live across the pool but you won’t see me if at all. I’m very quiet. You have your loft fully equipped like no other location for 7 kilometers. It’s all brand new not decades old. Private pool just for you. Washing machine. Eventually a wood fired pizza oven where you can bake, roast and have fun using. There is an outdoor bathroom where you can shower under a palm tree. Relax by the pool and even fall asleep outside. It’s that quiet. It’s the most cozy space where you have the run of the place in the area.
