Henrow House Lymington 4-Bed Detached Home with Hot Tub near The New Forest
Located in the iconic maritime Georgian town of Lymington, only moments from The New Forest and West Hampshire coast, the 4-bedroom Henrow House is the ideal escape for family or friends.
Whether you want to explore the abundance of local attractions and stunning scenery nearby, or just kick back and take it very easy in this spacious, recently renovated modern house with hot tub — the choice is yours.
The Space:
Henrow House is ideally situated within Lymington, in a quiet and peaceful residential area around 10 minutes' walk into the town centre. It’s close to Lymington’s marinas, yacht clubs and quay — and only a short stroll from some of the town’s best pubs, including The Fisherman’s Rest, which specialises in locally-caught daily seafood.
This detached home showcases four bedrooms sleeping eight people, two bathrooms and a downstairs WC. There’s also a private, fully-enclosed garden with patio and hot tub, and ample parking for three cars.
The welcoming ground floor flows beautifully through its entertaining spaces and is decorated in fresh white tones, oak furniture pieces, and newly-laid hard flooring throughout. The front door opens into a front porch boot-room, with seat and coat hooks.
A spacious open plan lounge-dining space awaits. This stylish living room has super-comfortable sofas, a large bay window, lamp lighting, a wood-burning fireplace, and a large 50” smart tv for streaming your favourite shows and movies on.
The dining room is ideal for groups and boasts a substantial elegant dark wood extendable table & chair set, accommodating eight diners comfortably. There’s also a serving hatch to the kitchen and double doors on one side leading to a conservatory playroom.
The conservatory is light and sunny and comprises a fantastic L-shape sofa, small tv, coffee table, plus a host of games & toys for young ones. There’s access to the garden and patio through french doors here too.
On the other side of the ground floor lies the brilliantly equipped kitchen and utility room, overlooking the garden. The stunning granite worktop and cream units of the kitchen have plenty of space for all your food items, along with a host of already-supplied cookware, dinnerware, cutlery, utensils and glassware ready for your holiday.
There’s a large fridge freezer unit, double integrated oven & grill, a 5-burner gas hob, dishwasher, and double sink. On top there’s an espresso machine, toaster, kettle, and microwave. The connected utility room has another sink, washing machine, further storage, and a door to the garden and patio.
Into the hallways of the downstairs is a handy closet WC with toilet and basin, plus an under stair cupboard. There’s also access to the garage spaces, which includes an extra refrigerator, and the garage which is perfect for bike, scooter and buggy storage.
The upper floor has been beautifully decorated with new plush carpets underfoot, and features four spacious and bright bedrooms.
The master ensuite room sits on the front side of the house and features a superking bed, with bedside tables, and a large amount of built-in wardrobe and drawer space for belongings. The ensuite shower room has been recently kitted out with a new rainfall shower, a large mirror and basin, and toilet, in a modern neat space.
The next largest room on the front side features a superking bed, with a bedside chest of drawers on each side, and a built-in double wardrobe.
The first of two bedrooms overlooking the garden side, is a twin room with a single bedside chest, and a huge built-in mirrored triple wardrobe. These beds are ziplink, meaning they can be joined together to create a superking with appropriate bedding supplied.
The final fourth smaller bedroom is a simple twin room overlooking the garden, with a bedside chest of drawers.
Lastly, the family bathroom has been renovated with brand new fixtures & fittings, including a gorgeous bath, large walk-in shower unit with both rainfall and handheld shower heads, toilet, heated towel rail, and vanity storage unit — all finished in an attractive slate and white.
Outside, the wide stone garden of Henrow House is the perfect space to unwind, and has a table & chair set for outdoor dining, as well as some shaded seating areas.
The brand new garden hot tub is absolutely ideal after a day out shopping in town or exploring the Forest! and is there to be used all year-round, seating 5—6 people inside. It comes supplied with separate pool towels and is drained and refilled before each guest booking.
Other things to note:
Towels, all bed linens, and basic cleaning equipment are included in your booking. There’s free Wi-Fi throughout Henrow House. Central heating is controlled via a NEST thermostat in the hallway.
For families, there are some board games and toys to utilise in the conservatory area for your stay. There’s also children's dinnerware and cutlery.
One travel cot and high chair are available for babies and toddlers (and for families of 9). The lodge is pet friendly, and there are some great walks for dogs nearby — please add your pet(s) to your booking or contact us if you have any questions.
One of the twin rooms has beds which can convert into a superking bed via ziplink. Please let us know if you would like us to set this bed up adjoined and with shared bedding, otherwise, these will be left as singles with separate bedding.
There’s hairdryers, a hoover and an iron & board available.
There’s free parking at the front of the property for your stay.
Please note: there is a flight of stairs up to the bedrooms on the 1st floor, and no beds on the ground floor.
About the Area:
You’ll be spoilt for choice for places to eat & drink nearby — with pubs, cafés, tea rooms, and restaurants all within easy walking distance.
For shoppers, Lymington is fantastic for its weekly Saturday market and its many high street shops, supermarkets, and boutiques. It makes for an ideal base for many coastal pursuits, including yachting & sailing facilities, ferries to the Isle of Wight, and maritime historical sites such as Hurst Castle.
The New Forest almost needs no introduction! This epic, sprawling national park lies to the north of the property, only a short drive away just waiting to be explored!
Stunning heathlands, forests, rivers, mudflats and saltmarshes cover an area of 219 square miles, combined of course with quaint and historical villages, great places to eat & drink, and the most amazing English wildlife.
The bustling and popular villages of Brockenhurst and Burley are only a short drive away and both feature an array of pubs, cafés, and shops in a beautiful setting.
You’ll find Milford-on-Sea west of Lymington, which is a charming seaside village and the lovely Hordle Cliff shingle beach nearby. You can reach Henry VIII’s fortress Hurst Castle east of Milford; and west leads to Barton-on-Sea village and beach.
Further along on the coastline at the Hampshire & Dorset border is Highcliffe, with its impressive Grade 1 listed Highcliffe Castle, and with steps down to the beach here leading on west to Avon Beach and Mudeford.
Hengistbury Head nature reserve is accessible on foot or bikes, and makes for a great day out too — if you continue around this headland it leads you to Mudeford Sandspit and its iconic beach huts. Mudeford sandspit can also be accessed via ferry from the Avon Beach Mudeford Car Park.
The coastal town of Christchurch is a short drive and a lovely area to explore for its historical sites, shopping, eateries and parks near the waterfront.
Heading west along the coastline from Christchurch, takes you first to Southbourne, then the cliffs at Boscombe Beach, and then to the many famous seafronts at Bournemouth. Further west is the upmarket Sandbanks, with its stunning sandy beach. A car ferry from here takes you to Studland — showcasing an incredible wild bay stretching miles to Swanage, providing easy access to the beautiful Isle of Purbeck peninsula and Corfe Castle.
Whether you want to explore the abundance of local attractions and stunning scenery nearby, or just kick back and take it very easy in this spacious, recently renovated modern house with hot tub — the choice is yours.
