Lapis Nera Villas is a unique beachfront complex comprising two private luxury villas, positioned side by side on the shores of Sodinia beach in Sidonia, in southern Heraklion, just steps from the beach. With uninterrupted panoramic sea views and direct beach access, this exceptional retreat offers a rare sense of privacy, tranquility, and exclusivity in a truly privileged coastal setting.
Indoor facilities
Designed with contemporary architectural elegance and premium specifications, the two villas stand side by side, forming a unified luxury complex while maintaining complete privacy and autonomy. Together, the properties offer the perfect balance between exclusivity and flexibility, ideal for private use, large families, or high-end rental investment. The materials used in the construction are environmentally friendly, including rock wool insulation throughout all insulation areas and eco-friendly Kourasani material on all interior surfaces.
Each villa offers identical indoor and outdoor spaces, designed with the same layout, amenities, and level of comfort, ensuring a consistent and seamless experience throughout the entire retreat.
On the ground level, each villa features an open-plan living area with a 55" Smart TV and a PlayStation 5. Large floor-to-ceiling openings maximize natural light and create a seamless indoor-outdoor flow, allowing guests to enjoy the sea views from inside the villa. The fully equipped kitchen includes modern appliances, with a dining area for 6 guests. This level also includes one bedroom with an ensuite bathroom and mountain views, as well as a guest WC.
The first level of each villa hosts two elegant bedrooms, each with a private ensuite bathroom and balcony. The master bedroom offers breathtaking sea views, while the second bedroom enjoys mountain views.
Each villas rooftop offers a truly unique highlight of the property. This open area features a king-size bed under a bioclimatic adjustable/opening pergola, two 43" Smart TVs, a private jacuzzi for up to six guests, a minibar, and an open-air bathroom with a shower. The retractable roof creates an exceptional experience, allowing guests to open the space and enjoy the starry sky and the soothing sound of the sea.
On the lower level, each villa includes a private massage studio designed for wellness and relaxation. Professional massage services can be arranged upon request, allowing guests to enjoy a private spa experience within their own seafront villa. The massage studio is available exclusively upon booking a massage appointment.
Outdoor facilities
The outdoor areas of Lapis Nera Villas are designed to fully embrace the Cretan summer lifestyle. Guests can unwind in the swimming pools, which can be heated upon request, ideal for relaxation even on the cooler days, while enjoying the sea breeze and the surrounding coastal scenery. The BBQ areas invite guests to enjoy outdoor cooking and dining experiences, creating memorable moments with family and friends in a relaxed seaside atmosphere. The outdoor lounging areas are ideal for sunbathing, enjoying a morning coffee, or sipping a sunset drink with the sound of the waves in the background. A private garden positioned at the rear of each villa adds an additional, peaceful outdoor space. Moreover, a large parking area is provided, ensuring convenience throughout your stay.
A unique feature of Lapis Nera Villas is the ability to seamlessly connect the two villas, offering both privacy and flexibility. A private connecting gate at the pool level allows direct access between the outdoor areas, enabling guests to enjoy the full estate as one unified beachfront retreat. Additionally, the rooftops of the two villas are also connected via a discreet access door, creating a continuous elevated space where guests can move freely between the properties and enjoy the jacuzzis, lounge areas, and panoramic sea views as a single exclusive environment. This thoughtful design allows the villas to function either as two fully independent residences or as one larger private estate, making the retreat ideal for large groups while still preserving privacy when desired.
Directly in front of the beach, eight umbrellas and sixteen sunbeds are provided exclusively for guests private use, creating the perfect setting for relaxation by the sea. In addition, between the villa and the shoreline, a beautiful, tree-filled area provides natural shade. Beneath the trees, an additional two outdoor dining areas accommodate up to sixteen guests.
Heated Pool Policy
The swimming pools can be heated from March till the end of May and from 15th September till the end of November, upon request, free of charge by a Pool Heat Pump at about 26 - 27?C depending on weather conditions. We request 3 days advance notice for this facility. (Kindly be informed that the heated pool feature is not available during the summer months due to naturally high ambient temperatures.)
From 2024, as stated in article 53 of Law 4389/2016 (A 94), there is a resilience fee to the climate crisis that is 15EUR per night/villa from April to October and 4EUR per night/villa from November to March. This fee will be paid in cash on arrival.
Lapis Nera Villas Complex includes two twin villas, one next to the other: Lapis Nera Villa I (3 bedrooms) and Lapis Villa II (3 bedrooms). Lapis Nera Villas are located in a privileged location with gorgeous views, high-end amenities, and modern design. Each villa offers autonomy, its own facilities, and a private pool.
