Town: Chinley is a lovely little village nestled in a wonderful rural setting, on the western edge of the Peak District National Park. Popular with walkers, who are attracted by Chinley’s close proximity to Kinder Scout, visitors are well-catered for with the village’s selection of pubs, cafes and restaurants. Serious walkers will wish to head east from the village, across the green foothills to the russet expanse of Kinder’s moorland plateau for a starting step onto the Pennine Way or Snake Pass. Families and those looking for gentler roaming can venture west along the beautiful Sett Valley Trail towards New Mills with the Torrs Riverside Park, a peaceful place for recreation and relaxation.
