Spacious Cottage and Barn in Lovely Georgeham. Close to stunning beaches!
Situated in the beautiful village of Georgeham and close to three stunning beaches of North Devon, Glebe Cottage is a large bungalow with front and back gardens and a separate converted stone barn on site.
The property comfortably sleeps 10 and offers the perfect mix of privacy and multiple generous social areas.
The village itself is home to two very highly rated pubs while the property overlooks the 13th Century village church.
To the rear, there are patio and grassed areas with a summer house and decking, all perfect for socialising . One of the double rooms and the main living room open up on to the patio area.
To the front lies the separate, 17th Century Stone Barn Conversion, a small decking area connected to one of the front bedrooms and a covered outside seating area.
The main house is comprised of four ensuite bedrooms , a large living room, an open plan kitchen and dining room, a utility room and foyer with a small office nook.
The kitchen is fully equipped with dining essentials and also includes a wine fridge and dishwasher. There is a dining table that extends to accommodate 8-10 guests. Adjacent to the kitchen is small utility area with a sink, washing machine and dryer. This is a perfect place to clean up after a country walk or visit to one the beaches.
The barn itself consists of a large mezzanine double bedroom, a large and comfortable living space, a fully equipped kitchen and a small but functional shower room and WC. The barn itself has been rented and highly rated for a number of years so please see the multiple reviews for yourself.
Georgeham is located a short distance away from the three stunning beaches of Saunton Sands, Croyde Bay and Putsborough/Woolacombe. Though unfortunately we can’t guarantee the waves for your stay, these beaches can offer some of the best surfing in the UK.
There are multiple country walks, including to the renowned Baggy Point in a certified Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
A short drive takes you to Ilfracombe, where seasonal ferries take you to the Island of Lundy or on coastal sea life cruises, including dolphin and seal watching.
The village has two very highly rated pubs, The Rock Inn and The Kings Arms. Please see their reviews. If visiting in high season, you may want to book in advance as they are extremely popular!
There is space on the drive for two vehicles, though please take care as the entrance is somewhat narrow.
The village car park is free to use and is a 1 minute walk away.
Out of respect to our neighbours, many of whom we know personally, unfortunately we cannot accept Stag or Hen events.
