Byron’s Retreat in Crantock, Cornwall, sleeps six guests in three bedrooms.
Byron’s Retreat is a single-storey cottage in Crantock, Cornwall. It consists of a kitchen/diner with oven, hob, kettle and toaster, a sitting room with TV, The bedrooms consist of one super-king-size with en-suite shower room, one king-size and one twin serviced by a bathroom with bath, shower over, basin and WC. Outside, there is a rear garden with patio, furniture and hot tub, plus off-road parking for one car. The shop is 0.3 miles away, the pub 0.4 miles and the beach 0.8 miles. Fuel and power, bed linen and towels are included in the rent. Two well behaved dogs welcome. Sorry, no smoking. Byron’s Retreat is a welcoming base for a coastal break. Note: There is a good housekeeping bond of GBP 300
Amenities: Electric oven, induction hob, combination microwave oven, Nespresso coffee machine, kettle, toaster. Smart TV x 2. Off-road parking for 2 cars, additional parking available roadside. Secluded enclosed rear garden with patio, hot tub and furniture. Two well-behaved dogs welcome. Please note: Dogs are not allowed in the bedrooms under any circumstances. Fuel and power inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent please bring your own beach towels. Within walking distance - well-stocked shop 0.3 miles (open 8am-8pm at time of writing ), 2 pubs & small café (am)/pizzeria (pm) 0.4 miles (Summer months), beach & dunes 0.8 miles (National Trust car park if required). Within a short drive - large supermarket 3.2 miles (open 7am-11pm at time of writing), fast EV chargers 2.5 miles (6 x CCS2, 6 x CHAdeMO). 5 golf courses within 10 miles. Town: Crantock is a small village on the Atlantic Coast with a beautiful beach served by a National Trust car park. Being just a short drive to the popular resorts of Newquay and Perranporth, if you want to escape the crowds yet still be close to the action, this is the place to be. There's stunning countryside all around and lots of pretty villages to explore. However, the majestic coastline is the main
event. Enjoy superb walks along the coastal path over dramatic cliff-tops, or magnificent surfing on beaches stretching from Watergate Bay in the North, to Fistral Beach in the centre of Newquay, and on down the coast to Chapel Porth and Gwithian. There are a number of golf courses in the area, as well as a host of National Trust properties, traditional pubs and outstanding restaurants.
Newquay itself is a visitor's paradise with a wide variety of shops, attractions, pubs and restaurants aplenty, plus a modern cinema complex. Connection wise, being a short distance off the main A30 means access by car is easy, and Newquay Train Station and Newquay Airport are close by. Being centrally located in mid-Cornwall, you are ideally placed to explore farther afield with
Truro, Falmouth, Padstow, Fowey, The Eden Project, Charleston Harbour, St.Ives and St. Michael’s Mount all under an hour away.
