Welcome to our NEW LISTING, Amberley House, a luxurious and stylish retreat in Tangmere near Chichester. This beautifully furnished, dog-friendly home features original character, a private courtyard, and a large garden with BBQ. Just 7 minutes from Goodwood events, including Festival of Speed and Revival. Sleeping up to 6 across 4 bedrooms, it offers a fully equipped kitchen, cosy lounges with wood burners, dining room, and snug.
Our stunning and luxurious home is tastefully furnished to a high standard, blending modern comfort with beautiful original features to create a warm, relaxing space for families and friends. With exposed beams, period details, and stylish décor throughout, the house offers a perfect balance of cosy charm and light-filled elegance.
There is private driveway parking for up to four cars. Outside, the sweeping garden features multiple patio areas for relaxing, dining, and entertaining, along with a gas BBQ. While the garden is not fully secure, we are happy to welcome well-behaved dogs. A fenced pond ensures added safety for little ones.
Upon entering, you are greeted by the impressive curved doorway leading into the fully equipped kitchen, which enjoys lovely garden views. Designed for self-catering stays, it includes a large fridge freezer, five-ring induction hob, dishwasher, and coffee machines. Adjacent to the kitchen is a king-size bedroom with garden views and a stylish en-suite featuring a walk-in shower.
To the left of the kitchen is a convenient downstairs WC, followed by a charming reading nook with a small desk and a selection of books for guests to enjoy. Straight ahead, you’ll find the inviting dining room, complete with a large rustic table, seating for six, exposed beams, and a log burner. Double doors provide access to the courtyard, creating a wonderful indoor-outdoor flow. Guests are welcome to use logs from the log store.
Leading from the dining room is a cosy open-plan snug with a comfortable sofa and TV. Off to the left of the reading snug is a piano room, which flows into the beautiful main lounge. This light-filled space features two courtyard-facing windows, a log burner, and stylish furnishings, making it ideal for relaxing evenings.
The impressive staircase, enhanced by a large mirror and abundant natural light, leads to three additional bedrooms and the family bathroom. Upstairs, the high ceiling and spacious bathroom includes a bath with shower attachment. The adjacent double bedroom offers desk space and overlooks the courtyard, with high ceilings and Velux windows creating a bright, unique atmosphere. The second king-size bedroom is equally light and airy, with courtyard views, Velux windows, and its own TV. The final single bedroom includes a desk, chair, and dual windows, making it another wonderfully bright space.
The landscaped garden offers a large patio for outdoor dining and lounging, steps up to a lawned area, and a second patio with BBQ—perfect for summer evenings and social gatherings.
With its luxurious yet homely feel, beautiful original character, and thoughtfully designed spaces, this house is ideal for relaxing breaks, family getaways, and trips to nearby Goodwood events. It’s a stylish, comfortable retreat where guests can unwind and make lasting memories together.
We’re delighted to welcome dogs as our guests—at no extra charge when booked in advance! To ensure a comfortable stay for everyone, we kindly ask that dogs remain off the furniture.

– The garden is not fully secure.
– A main road is located at the bottom of the driveway, so we recommend keeping your dog on a lead when outside.
– Dog owners accept full responsibility for their pet’s safety and behaviour during their stay.
For your pup’s comfort, we provide:

– Towels for drying off after a walk
Upon your arrival we provide a thoughtfully curated welcome pack for our guests. This pack includes an array of essentials such as tea, coffee, sugar, tea towels, hand wash, cooking spray, dishwasher tablets, matches, sun cream, tissues, hand sanitiser, bin bags, and more. Additionally, you’ll find a selection of indulgent goodies including chocolates and sweets to make your stay extra special.
We also provide shampoo and conditioner in the bathroom, and there is hand wash available at each sink.
Experience the convenience of our complimentary offerings, including a travel cot (just bring your own linen) and high chair, as well as baby packs for 0-2 year olds and toddler packs for 2-4 year olds. To ensure availability, please request these items in advance, for short stays only. Kindly leave all items in the property at the end of your stay, and rest assured that they will be thoroughly cleaned and sterilised for the next guest.
