Just a short drive away is Rhayader, the gateway to the breathtaking Elan Valley, where you’ll find spectacular reservoirs, dramatic dams, scenic walking trails, and cycling routes suitable for all abilities. The area is also part of a protected Dark Sky Reserve, making it perfect for stargazing.
Nature lovers shouldn’t miss Gigrin Farm, famous for its daily red kite feeding, a spectacular wildlife experience unique to this part of Wales. Nearby Llandrindod Wells offers a picturesque lake, fishing, boating, and charming Victorian architecture, while Builth Wells provides independent shops, cafés, riverside walks, and regular events at the Royal Welsh Showground.
