Steep stairs lead to the first floor, where you’ll find a bedroom with a European king-size bed, all linen and towels provided, and a bathroom with bath, overhead shower, toilet and toiletries. There is also an open-plan living/spare room with exposed beams and an oak balcony.

Bosbury is surrounded by delightful Herefordshire countryside, with many public footpaths and quiet lanes right from the village – ideal for walkers and nature lovers. Venturing out in any direction brings you to beautiful and interesting places, and the drives themselves are often a pleasure, with little traffic and virtually no motorway. Whatever your interests, there is plenty to enjoy before returning to the cottage to relax – or popping into the local pub just moments away.
Ledbury, four miles away, is a charming and thriving market town with medieval buildings, independent shops, cafés and the annual poetry festival. Within about 20 minutes you can reach Eastnor Castle and deer park, the Malvern Hills, Dymock (famous for its daffodil walks and poets), Newent with its lake and Birds of Prey Centre, and Bromyard, one of Herefordshire’s five market towns known for its annual galas and events.
Within 30 minutes are Ross-on-Wye, gateway to the Wye Valley; Leominster, with its antique shops and Black and White Trail; Worcester and Gloucester, both historic cathedral cities; Tewkesbury with its abbey; and Upton-upon-Severn, known for its independent shops and jazz festival. Hereford, our county city on the River Wye and home to the cathedral’s Mappa Mundi and chained library, is about 30 minutes away.
Hiking, walking, cycling and exploring by bus, road or on foot are all easily enjoyed from here, with canoeing on the River Wye offering a wonderful way to see the area from a different perspective.
