The Space:

Perched on the cliff’s edge in the picturesque village of Gorran Haven, this remarkable coastal retreat boasts some of the finest sea views in Cornwall. Comprising a five-bedroom main house, a separate one-bedroom studio and a one-bedroom shepherd’s hut, the property offers flexible accommodation perfect for groups seeking both space and privacy.

Stunning ocean views can be enjoyed throughout - from bedrooms and living spaces to balconies, patios, the garden and summer house. Set directly on the South West Coast Path, it’s ideal for scenic walks, while the harbour, beach and village amenities are just a short stroll downhill.

The heart of the home is the bright open-plan kitchen and dining area, thoughtfully designed for larger groups. The high-spec kitchen features premium appliances including a dual oven, coffee machine, dishwasher and American-style fridge freezer. The adjoining dining space is framed by large windows showcasing uninterrupted sea views, with flexible seating for both smaller and larger gatherings.

There are multiple living areas to unwind in, including a cosy sitting room with bay window seating and smart TV, and a second snug with books and games. Bedrooms are arranged across the property, including a ground floor double, a family suite with bunk room, and a stunning master with dressing room, ensuite and private balcony with panoramic views.

The separate studio offers an additional ensuite double, while the shepherd’s hut provides a unique and private escape with its own kitchen, bathroom and king bed right on the cliff edge. Perfect for those wanting a bit of privacy - or adventure!

Outside, the expansive garden features multiple seating areas, tiered decking, a summer house and striking coastal planting. With private parking, a carport, laundry room and dog-friendly policy, this is an exceptional setting for unforgettable stays.

Guest Access:

Guests have access to all areas, including the house, studio and shepherd's hut. The house & studio and the hut are also bookable independently.

The Neighborhood:

This home in Gorran Haven offers a spectacular coastal escape. It sits almost on the South West Coast Path, running right behind it. From the doorstep, you can step straight onto this famous trail and enjoy breathtaking walks along Cornwall’s rugged coastline, with sweeping sea views, hidden coves and dramatic cliffs.

Just a short drive or 30 minute walk around the coastal path lies the expansive sands of Vault Beach. A peaceful and unspoilt stretch of coastline perfect for swimming, picnics and long beach walks. Nearby Caerhays Beach is another beautiful spot, set beside the historic Caerhays Castle and its stunning gardens. The castle grounds are particularly famous for their spring displays of camellias and magnolias.

For memorable day trips, visit the magical Lost Gardens of Heligan, one of Cornwall’s most fascinating garden restorations, where you can explore subtropical planting, woodland walks and the famous “sleeping giants” sculptures. The world-renowned Eden Project is also within easy reach, offering its iconic biomes, beautiful gardens and family-friendly exhibitions about nature and sustainability.

The charming fishing villages of Mevagissey and Portloe are nearby, both offering traditional harbours, fresh seafood restaurants and boat trips along the coast. In Mevagissey, you’ll also find the fascinating Mevagissey Museum, which tells the story of the area’s fishing heritage. Nearby, Portmelon is a lesser-known harbour village with watersports hire and a lovely pub on the waterfront.

Water lovers can enjoy kayaking, paddleboarding and swimming in the calm waters around Gorran Haven’s own sandy beach, while wildlife watchers may spot seals and seabirds along the cliffs.

Whether you’re exploring coastal paths, relaxing on quiet beaches or discovering Cornwall’s famous attractions, Gorran Haven provides an unforgettable base for a truly special seaside holiday.

Getting Around:

Due to the remote nature of Gorran Haven, we recommend having a vehicle for the most enjoyable stay. Private parking is available on the driveway for 4-5 vehicles.

There is also a large paid car park in the village for overflow. Pricing is reasonable at £3-£5/day out of season, and £5-£8/day in season. All vehicles are welcome, including boats with trailers.

Interaction with Guests:

We will be available via message, email and phone during your stay. Any questions, please do not hesitate to get in touch!
