Very Comfortable with lots of room. Great location to explore southern Ky Lake

We recently stayed at the Wagon Wheel for my Son's BASS Junior National Tournament held at Carroll County 1000 Acre Lake. This property was a great home base for our stay. It was a little over a 1/2 hour drive over to the Carroll County Lake and the property is just five minutes from public access to Ky Lake. The property was very nicely maintained and had everything we needed for a week long stay. The Beds at the property were EXTREMELY Comfortable! I've stayed at many rental properties over the years and the Beds at this place were by far the best of any place I've stayed (probably even better than my bed at home). The cell service (Verizon) was a bit sketchy in this area but that really didn't matter since the property has wifi. If you are interested in exploring the southern Ky Lake region to fish or hunt or whatever I'd highly recommend this place.

Right at home in Camden, TN

Our family only stayed two nights, but it was perfect for our needs. The porches and swings are lovely and are on both the front and back of the house. I didn't read all the descriptions when I booked and was pleasantly surprised that the home was larger than I expected and two, not just one porch. We didn't really cook, but the kitchen seemed to have everything we would need had we chosen to cook, including a grill and seasonings. We wanted to be close to town but experience a bit of country outdoors too, and it was just right. If you are looking for somewhere very remote, it may not be for you. The road had occasional busy times and there is a business and a few other cabins/RVs close by. The area was well maintained and others nearby were very quiet and courteous. We had friends to visit in town and at the lake, so not being too far back in the woods, yet not in town, was perfect. I would stay again and recommend it to others. Next time I would like to visit Nashville about an hour away and also visit the Drive-in Movie Theater very close by which was an unexpected surprise. I would also recommend Downhome Cafe for Sunday breakfast and The Shack for BBQ to take to the lake. Camden is a nice blend of hard-working, sweet, small-town people and mom-n-pop shops, that we enjoy but with a Wal-Mart, Sonic, Healthcare clinic, Pharmacies and more just down the road if you need them. Our van's air conditioner stopped working and we were grateful that an O'Reilly's auto parts store had the part to fix it. The weather was great, especially the times it was 63-73°, but it does get toasty in the afternoons in June so an air conditioner is a must in my opinion. That said, the AC, washer/dryer, and all other amenities in the Wagon Wheel were all in working order and the home on Birdsong Lane did not disappoint.

I can't really say that the property wasn't clean but it seemed to have been closed up for sometime. I came across quite a few cob webs in the hallway and it had on odor typical of a place that has been closed up for a while. It was 90 degrees when we arrived, we're looking forward to walking into a cool area but when we walked in, it was 85 degrees. The air conditioning had not even been turned on. There are 4 sinks, all but 1 of the liquid hand soap containers were filled with watered down dish soap. There were 2 rat/mouse traps with DeCon on the kitchen counter. There was no drain plug for the soaking tub. It sits on a property much closer to a pretty busy road than I anticipated. I sent the owner 3 messages from the time of booking (none of much importance) but have never received a reply.

Comfortable and Functional

This place is great while we are in town training at Tactical Response. Location is great and the owner is hospitable. I can cook, do laundry and if I want, have enough room to have friends over for supper.

Had a great time. Bought a few items and left them at the property to make next persons stay easier. Utensils and mixing bowls etc. We spent most of our days off the property riding our 4 wheelers and side by side with friends in the area.
