The Mill House consists of a kitchen/diner with aga, electric double oven, gas hob, American-style fridge/ freezer, dishwasher, toaster, and kettle, along with dining space, the sitting room includes a woodburning stove and Smart TV, and there is a snug/study with a second woodburning stove, sofa bed and Smart TV. The bedrooms include a family room with double bed, extendable day bed, and en-suite walk-in shower room, a super king size with electric fire and en-suite walk in shower room, a double, and a twin which can be arranged as a king size on request. The bathroom has a freestanding bath, a walk-in shower, basin and WC, and there is also a cloakroom with basin and WC. Outside, the property offers an enclosed wrap-around garden with lawn and patio areas, and off-road parking for 4 cars. WiFi, fuel, power, bed linen, and towels included in rent. A starter pack for the woodburning stove is also included. One well-behaved pet welcome. Sorry, no smoking. Stay at The Mill House for a memorable break near Dartmoor National Park. Note:A leat (small stream) runs alongside the house, in summer it is usually a small trickle, but the banks have loose rocks, uneven ground and trip hazards and is not suitable for walking along, and may be tempting for children to explore. Note: Horses and cows graze in nearby fields. Note: The right side of the AGA is switched off for the summer to keep the house cool, while the left side functions fully with an electric oven, grill, and four‑ring gas hob

Town: The ancient Stannary town of Ashburton lies on the southern slopes of Dartmoor and is an ideal spot from which to explore the rugged high moors to the North and a beautiful coastline to the South. The scenery in this area of South Devon is glorious in all weathers and offers visitors opportunities for walking, pony trekking, canoeing, fishing and lazing on the beach. Ashburton has some artisan shops and with its interesting history and museum, has built a reputation for its high standard of antiques and fine collectables outlets. It also has lovely tea rooms, a popular vegan cafe, a wine bar, a fish deli, cheese deli, artisan baker, local butcher, co-op, spar, pharmacist and organic veg and health food shop. In the surrounding area, Dartmoor has many picturesque villages and hamlets with old thatched cottages and ancient churches, surrounded by a patchwork of fields and woodland. Lustleigh, North Bovey, Chagford and Widecombe- in- the- Moor are fine examples. The attractive seaside town of Teignmouth is a half hour drive and the popular Blackpool Sands (pebble beach), although a little further down the coast, is one of South Devon's most beautiful natural treasures. An award-winning privately managed 'Blue Flag' family beach with turquoise blue sea giving it an almost Mediterranean feel. For beautiful sandy beaches visit Bantham Beach and Dawlish Warren. So whether it is moor or coast that you’re seeking for your getaway, Ashburton is a really central town from which to be based.
