Professionally managed, Allendale House, a beautifully refurbished Victorian property sleeping 16 guests, set in the charming Eden Valley village of Armathwaite, near Carlisle. Blending historic elegance with contemporary comfort, Allendale House offers a welcoming and stylish base with a hot tub, for families, friends, or groups seeking a peaceful escape with easy access to the Lake District, Scottish Borders, North East and Carlisle’s amenities.
Inside, the property is spacious, thoughtfully designed, and finished to the highest standards, with generous living areas, a stunning open-plan kitchen, and inviting reception rooms perfect for relaxation or entertaining. Outside, the elegant, landscaped gardens, extensive terrace, and multiple seating areas provide an idyllic space for al fresco dining, socialising, or simply soaking up the serene surroundings. Two friendly dogs are welcome, making this an ideal home-from-home for pet lovers.
THE PROPERTY BREAKDOWN
The property is arranged across three floors.
Ground Floor:
Living area - Bright and airy space featuring comfortable seating, a coffee table, an electric fireplace, and a cosy pouf.
Open-Plan Kitchen, Dining & Living Area –Twin sets of bi-fold doors opening to terrace and gardens, kitchen island, Siemens ovens (including steam and microwave combination), Bora hob, large fridge, wine fridge, dishwasher, Quooker instant boiling water tap, Delonghi Essetta coffee machine, toaster, blender, essential cookware and utensils.
Separate prep kitchen
Utility Room & Walk-in Larder – Additional storage, Belfast sink, gas hob with double oven, workspace.
Boot Room & Cloakroom/WC – Flamant oak and marble vanity unit, toilet, washbasin, mirror.
Bedroom 1 – Double bed, bedside lamps, TV, desk, sofa, and mirror.
Bedroom 2 – Double sofa bed available upon request when making your booking, TV, bedside tables with lamps, and a wardrobe.
First Floor:
Bedroom 3 – Two single beds, bedside table and lamps, wardrobe, drawers, mirror, en-suite bathroom with a shower, bath, WC and wash basin.
Bedroom 4 – Queen-size bed, bedside tables and lamps, wardrobe, drawers, mirror, en-suite bathroom with a shower, WC, and wash basin.
Bedroom 5 – King-size bed, bedside table and lamp, wardrobe, drawers, desk, mirror, en-suite bathroom with a shower, bath, WC and wash basin.
Bedroom 6 – King-size bed, bedside table and lamp, wardrobe, drawers, desk, mirror, en-suite bathroom, bath, WC and sink.
Second Floor:
Bedroom 7 – Super king-size bed and one single bed as standard, a second pull out single bed can be provided upon request, seating area, en-suite bathroom with freestanding bath, Matki shower, twin marble basins, WC, heated towel rail and dressing room.
Outside:
Terrace & Gardens – Extensive landscaped gardens with manicured lawns, vibrant planting, multiple outdoor seating areas, flagged terrace, outdoor fireplace, hot tub, and views over the River Eden. The garden isn’t completely secure for dogs, as there’s a low wall at the bottom that a dog could potentially jump over.
Parking – Driveway with space for up to 4 cars, leading to a double garage.
Local Amenities – Village shop opposite the house, two welcoming pubs (one just a short walk away).
Dogs – Two well behaved dogs are welcome for an additional charge per pet per stay.
