The property was actually a Motel 6 and said that reservations made in advance did not actually guarantee that you will be able to get a room. When we arrived, we were told that there was only one room left that was not the same accommodations that we booked. Next, we were told that all the hotel key card readers on the room doors were broken, so the only way that we could get in an out of our rooms is by having the hotel staff use a screwdriver to take the doors off the hinges each time we wanted to use the door. On top of that, the staff would not be able to let any guests in or out of their rooms after 10PM and before 7AM. While we were still in the front lobby, one person with a pre-made reservation and one person without a reservation tried to get a room, so both were told that there were no rooms despite one of the guests making a reservation and not having anywhere else to go. My guest and I felt very uncomfortable and unsafe with the hotel and room door conditions so we were forced to find a new hotel at the last minute since there way no way that we could stay at the Motel 6.
