: The place has a very family-run feel and a warm, welcoming atmosphere; you’re greeted with great cheerfulness and helpfulness. The rooms and linen are spotlessly clean and smell lovely; everything is new and well-maintained. The Hangman is close to Everton’s new stadium, and the hotel’s bar (where you’re greeted with a warm welcome and a sense of camaraderie, and where delicious English beers are on offer) is frequented by the team’s incredibly friendly supporters, who have left plenty of memorabilia there. In the end, I even got swept up in their enthusiasm and passion and went to watch a friendly match at this marvellous English stadium!!!
The hotel is just three underground stops from the central station, reachable in a matter of minutes: however, the area around the underground station, Bank Hall, is rather industrial and port-like and not particularly attractive to look at at night. That said, the venue is also served by Uber, which can take you to the city centre and the airport in just a few minutes.
