Beautifully combining historic character with refined modern comfort, this exclusive-use estate provides an exceptional setting for family celebrations, weddings, group retreats, and luxurious countryside escapes, surrounded by peaceful landscapes and charming market towns.
Thoughtfully designed for large gatherings, Skendleby Hall sleeps up to 28 guests across 13 beautifully appointed bedrooms, each paired with its own bathroom for complete comfort and privacy. Individually styled with soft linens, calming tones, elegant furnishings, and picturesque countryside views, the bedrooms create a welcoming and restful atmosphere throughout the house. The spacious layout allows guests to enjoy both sociable moments together and peaceful corners to unwind, making the Hall equally suited to celebratory weekends and relaxed family staycations. Guests can also enjoy a dedicated games room, outdoor hot tub, and a selection of inviting reception rooms perfect for evenings spent together by the fire.
At the heart of the home is a well-equipped country kitchen ideal for preparing shared meals and relaxed breakfasts, while the grand dining area provides a memorable setting for long celebratory dinners and special occasions. Elegant reception rooms filled with period charm offer ample space for entertaining, relaxing, and reconnecting, blending the grandeur of a historic estate with the warmth and comfort of a private home. Every detail has been carefully considered to create an effortless and luxurious stay, and as a pet-friendly property, even four-legged family members are welcome to join the experience.

The Hall’s sweeping lawns and tranquil grounds provide the perfect backdrop for outdoor games, leisurely walks, and peaceful moments surrounded by nature. Beyond the estate, guests can explore charming villages, historic churches, local pubs, and nearby coastal towns with wide sandy beaches and fresh sea air. Whether you spend your days exploring the surrounding countryside or simply relaxing within the privacy of the estate, Skendleby Hall offers a truly unforgettable escape filled with character, comfort, and understated luxury.
Electric vehicles are not to be charged from our electricity supply at any of our properties. Kindly use the Zapmap app to find the nearest public charging place to the property.
• Please observe and adhere to all speed limits on the driveways.
• Please do not enter the working farms. This is for your own safety as the farmers could be shooting.
• When on our walking routes, please close all gates and keep any dogs on leads.
• Please adhere to all signage with regards to parking. Do not park anywhere which may cause a nuisance to our neighbours.
• Noise. Please respect our neighbours, in particular, with regards to noise – consider children’s bedtimes. Your gathering must be brought inside by 9pm on weekdays and 10pm on weekends to control noise.
• The pools and hot tubs may be check during your stay by the caretaker. Please be aware that he may be on the premises for this and for other maintenance purposes.
• The pool cover is not a safety cover and must be removed fully before swimming. It will not support your weight.
• Children must not be allowed to enter the pool area unsupervised.
• Please do not swim in the lakes.
• Please ensure to use the designated smoking areas only.
• Only wood is to be burned in our fires and these must be extinguished if left or when you go to bed.
• Children must be supervised at all times.
• Children under the age of 16 are not permitted to use the hot tub.
• The hot tub must be filled with water at all times. If the water level falls below the top water jets it must be refilled immediately.
• If the pool or hot tub water is not completely clear it must not be used. Please inform us immediately if this happens.
• No glass to be taken to the pool or hot tub.
• If bringing dogs with you, please ensure to keep them under control and away from any livestock.
• Do not use any glitter or confetti. No decorations are to be sellotaped, pinned or blue tacked to the walls or doors.
• We do not allow fireworks, external speakers, DJ’s, marquees, or day guests exceeding the maximum number of guests at the property.
• Noise must be kept to a reasonable level at all times. If playing music indoors during the evenings, please ensure to keep any windows closed.
When You Leave
• The house must be vacated by 11am at the latest.
• All rubbish must be removed from the house and gardens, and placed in the correct bins outside.
• All washing up must be done or loaded into the dishwasher.
• All unused food is to be thrown away or taken with you.
• All furniture and items must be returned to where they came from.
Failure to observe the above rules may result in loss of damage deposit.
