This beautiful cottage is a so-called “low-impact” home, designed to leave a minimal footprint on its surroundings. It is built primarily from premium Douglas fir from Denmark. Outside, you’ll find rough-hewn planks that can withstand wind and weather, while the finely sanded and oiled planks and flooring from Dinesen create a softer, warmer atmosphere in the large, open living area inside. Sink into the deep armchairs, turn toward nature outside the large glass walls, and enjoy the absence of unnecessary visual clutter to distract your gaze.





You can take long walks in Vollerup Forest or along the beach, which is just a few minutes’ walk from the cottage. Walk along the trails and look for hedgehogs, salamanders, and toads in the thickets and water holes, or spot fallow deer and hares leaping across the open fields. Vollerup Beach is also a fantastic place to put on a pair of waders and cast your line for a silvery sea trout. In the evening, you can retire to the cottage’s simple bedroom, or sit outside and enjoy the area’s minimal light pollution while scanning the night sky for shooting stars.
