On beautiful Samsø you will find a unique gem. The original half-timbered house with thatched roof oozes idyll and cottage atmosphere, and with just 50 meters to the water, you have a unique sea view no matter where you are on the plot or in the house. With wild grass growing around the cottage, it feels like a peaceful haven surrounded by sea and nature.
The large mullioned windows in the dining room bring nature and the sea inside for a relaxing sense of peace and tranquility. Here you can enjoy a good meal in each other's company and watch the moon on the horizon. Decorating the house is an ongoing process and not everything in the house has been refurbished yet, but you will experience a down-to-earth feel with a focus on togetherness and coziness.
Note that the house has low ceilings, as befits an older half-timbered house, and in some places there are exposed beams and low door frames. This adds to the charm and authentic atmosphere, but be careful to watch your head as you move around. Light a fire in the living room fireplace, put some water on for a cup of tea, read a good book or play a game of board games and enjoy the peace and quiet.
In addition to the house's one double bedroom, there is one with a double sofa bed and one with a cot for small children. There's also a landing upstairs with a comfortable sofa bed for two people.
You don't have to travel far to experience anything once you arrive at the cottage, as the beautiful nature is right on your doorstep. From the beach you can walk south, down through Mårup Forest and Heden, and to the north you can head up towards the beautiful Nordby Hills. Put on your walking shoes or one of the house bikes and take a trip to Langøre Harbor, where you can enjoy a delicious lunch and a draft beer during the season. If you still need a little more action, head to Nordby, where you'll find a great playground, the island's best ice cream dairy, and cozy local shops and cafés that are open all year round.
