Rural Estates

Very clean, safe & quiet semi-detached condo away from all the main roads. Owners very down to earth & extremely friendly. Hosted a great Valentines Day dinner. Will return. Thanks Ricky & Odette👍🏻

Snowbirds in Naples

Odette and Ricky were excellent host. They responded to any concerns we had quickly. We liked the privacey of the location and was central to many attractions in South Florida. One item that we would have liked is an oven and more utensils/cookware and dish towels for cooking for families who are on longer stays. We were surprised by home made ice cream delivered by our host. Very relaxing! Thanks! Bill & Jan

A very restful stay

Although I was attending a conference in Naples, near the beach, we wanted some peace & quiet at night, so we decided to skip the expensive resort. We wanted to save money too - who doesn’t? This property met our goals perfectly. It was also immaculate & comfortable with everything we needed for a pleasant stay. There is a grill outside & everything we needed to serve simple meals. There were beach towels to borrow, good wi-fi & basic television. Ricky is super with lots of good suggestions about activities. I had the feeling he really wants his guests to be comfortable & will try to accommodate reasonable requests. We picked up great Cuban food at Armando’s Supermarket & Cafeteria one night. We treated ourselves to a new experience, Peruvian food at Aji Limon, one night & loved it. It is about 15-20 minutes to a commercial area, maybe 40 minutes to the beach.

The complete getaway for my Family

We are new to VRBO and home vacations. We have been visiting our son at college over the past year and have rented two other homes before this one from Ricky and Odette (R & O). They were nice homes and nice owners but none as interactive and involved as R and O. They are both diamonds in the rough. Caring and communittative they shared affordable restaurants, interesting place and things to do from the moment we clicked reserve. We appreciate all of their suggestions as they have a family and made great suggestions for our family. As for the home-it is a duplex behind Ricky & Odette’s home-so we felt as if we were visiting relatives. A large swing gate allowed us onto their property and a long drive way led us directly to the duplex. We reserved the North side and R & O were happy to accommodate us by allowing an early check in. My wife and older son drove from Miami to their home in a little under two hours. My oldest son a born explorer set off to check out the lay of the land. Kyacks, Bicycles, a fire pit and bar-bq under a wooden trellis lines a large canal with a natural Florida landscape. My family took full advantage of everything. We kayaked, my youngest an aved fisherman, caught a 3.5 lb bass and lost 1 bass along with the fishing line which he said he saw swiming around the last two days we were there. He tried to grab the line multiple times but no luck. Comfortable queen size beds in two bedrooms, a kitchenette, comfortable and beautifully decorated living room, a 4 place small dining table tucked away in the corner and a great big walk in shower accomidated me and my two sons all over 6 ft just fine. The restaurants and Publix are a drive but everything in this area are. We got use to it. Forgot to mention that R & O advised us in their communications that Publix would deliver directly to us at the duplex within 2 hr. Our last night-we took full advantage of the prepared fire pit that Ricky loaded with natural fire wood. S’mores, fire, smoke and lots of laughing and good conversation made for a memorable night. After extinguishing the last of the embers with the supplied water hose. We retired to our cool rooms with pleasant dreams of our family trip. The following morning we left one hour early so the cleaning service could get a jump on things for the next lucky family. Thank you Ricky and Odette for accommodating our family. We look forward to spending more time with you in the future. A diamond in the rough.

Nice quiet area right on river

Stay was great, host’s we’re very responsive when we needed something. Outside area was great with the fire ring and charcoal grill. About 30mins from downtown Naples.

As advertised, a great place to stay

As the description says, the property was as described on the site. The owner was VERY helpful and even provided traffic tips :) The unit was nice and worked perfect for our family. We would recommend it to anyone staying in the area.

Immaculately clean

Great property in the Eastern rural part of Naples. Lots of privacy and open space. Nice place to see the stars. The host was always reponsive immidiately to any of my questions. He gave my family and I great suggestions for restaurants and places to visit. I used the kayak twice up and down the canal. It was easy to slip the boat in the water and be on my merry way. Other properties would be too afraid of the legal ramifications to offer this great water activity, so thank you Ricky and Odette! The host had one or 2 fire rings set up complete with firewood and kindling which was very considerate. (We did not end up using them but liked the option) Also, super clean white tile floors! We cooked using the range and microwave so lack of oven wasnt an issue. Lots of places to sit outside and enjoy the country air.

Helpful hosts

The house was just as described, very comfortable and clean with everything needed for a peaceful stay. The directions to the property were perfect. We couldn't figure out how to get the TV to work and within 2 minutes our host was there to fix the problem. I would highly recommend staying in this lovely home.

Visiting Family in Florida

The house is in a quiet area so you can relax with your family. You had to drive a few miles before you saw much traffic. A welcome change to other parts of Florida.

the kayaks were not as nice as the picture made them out to be. cleaning fee was tacked on after you confirm your reservation but the room was not cleaned for our second nite so we paid a cleaning fee which was not performed. there is no store or restaurant for miles around

Perfect for us.

Amazingly comfortable, quite hideaway

This place was an absolute pleasure to stay at. Ricky and Odette were extremely nice, prompt and just easy going. This home is tucked away on about 5 acres toward the back and extremely private, but not enclosed. It has beautiful large tile flooring throughout that was easy to keep clean, comfortable furniture, cable tv, and a nice bathroom. It sits alongside a canal which they have kayaks and bicycles for you to use. The absolute best thing I loved about this house were the dogs. On the property there are two dogs that are on the property, Atticus and Copper who are legitimately two of the nicest dogs I’ve ever met. Calm and tame. I had morning coffee outside with Copper (because I would call him over) every morning and it was so peaceful. If you’re some kind of sick freak who doesn’t like dogs, they probably wont come near you anyway, you monster. FYI they keep them completely out of the house so if you’re allergic you have nothing to worry about and the dogs will only come around if you encourage it. Ricky and Odette also leave you a nice picture frame to take home with you. We will most likely be staying here again and definitely will if we come to Naples again. Thank you, Ricky, Odette, Atticus and Copper.
