JS Apartments is a partnership of three, each bringing something the others can't.

Shivam has 20 years in property — he knows what makes a space work properly, from the finish on the walls to the quality of the mattress. Andrew has spent 25 years running hotels, restaurants and holiday lets, and oversees everything that happens on the ground in Blackburn. Natasha is a well-travelled guest herself — she's stayed in hundreds of places and knows exactly what makes the difference between a stay you forget and one you come back for.

Between us we manage four apartments in central Blackburn under the JS Apartments brand. Every detail in each one has been chosen deliberately — not to hit a checklist, but because we'd want it there if we were staying.

We respond within the hour, every day. If something isn't right, we fix it.

Blackburn town centre is more useful than it looks from the outside.

You're 100 steps from The Mall Shopping Centre, a few minutes' walk from King George's Hall, Blackburn Cathedral, and the train station — which puts Manchester 50 minutes away and Preston 15 minutes. Junction 4 of the M65 is a 10-minute drive, connecting you to the M6 and the wider motorway network. Manchester Airport is roughly 45 minutes by car.

During the day the area is lively — shops, supermarkets, cafés and restaurants on your doorstep. In the evenings it quiets down, which matters if you're here for work and need proper rest.

The Ribble Valley, Pendle Hill, and the Forest of Bowland are all within easy reach. The Peak District is around an hour by car. Royal Blackburn Hospital is a short drive — which makes this a practical base for visiting medical staff and family members of patients too.

We chose central Blackburn because it works for almost every kind of guest — and because the market was underserved by accommodation that actually took quality seriously.

The Snug is the cosiest of our four Blackburn apartments — and deliberately so.

It's not trying to be the biggest or the most feature-packed. It's a warm, well-finished studio for two, designed around the things that actually matter on a working trip or a short break: a proper bed, a quiet space, a fully equipped kitchen, fast WiFi, and a TV loaded with Netflix, Disney+, Prime Video and Apple TV for when the day is done.

What sets it apart from most short-stay studios in Blackburn is the detail. Brand-new fit-out, fast WiFi, dedicated workspace, washing machine, self check-in via smart lock so you're never waiting around — and a host team that responds within the hour if you need anything.
