It's an ideal location from which to strike out and explore these unique locations. It's also the perfect location for walkers, with seasoned hikers travelling from miles around to set off from the village. Foodies will love the close proximity of the excellent dining options, including gastro pubs and an excellent deli.
The ground floor houses the lounge, which is the heart of the house and comes with a feature fireplace and floor to ceiling windows which look out over the estate and Yorkshire countryside beyond. This room also has a chunky dining table and warm oak floorboards. Traditional board games and toys provide offline entertainment, whilst the LCD TV and Wi-Fi will keep the gadget-fans happy. Next door is the spacious kitchen with wooden units and sleek tiles, and an additional dining table provides a sociable seating area for when the chefs are hard at work. A separate utility room houses a washing machine and tumble dryer. There are five large bedrooms here, each one with its own en-suite facilities. One room has a freestanding bath and one sleeps up to four people in four full-size beds - perfect for families with an en-suite with walk-in shower and WC.
There is much to love outside this lovely barn too. A delightful south-facing enclosed courtyard sits at the rear of the barn and features patio furniture, BBQ area and a family-sized hot tub. Further stone terraces to the front offer beautiful views across the estate. Guests are welcome to roam the estate and meet the resident wildlife, and there is a lovely walk by the church and down to the village pub which comes highly recommended.
